I'm certain the coaching staff hasn't been sitting on their hands with him. It's a little naive to think that he's not up to date on the playbook and routes.

I think Butch has someone monitoring VN cause when we start to freak the f out, Butch throws in some good news to brighten the day, think that's a possibility?

with saying he doesnt know the offense is probably inaccurate at best. We dont know how much the kid has been studying the playbook and running routes on his own. Please keep speculation to the minimum and just be happy he is apart of this football team.

Studying the playbook is one thing. Applying it on the field is another. He's yet to run a single route in fall camp, nor has he had any reps with Dobbs or Dormady. Not to mention he is still healing from a torn ACL. At BEST I'd say Preston Williams could get significant playing time by the latter half of the season, around Kentucky or so.

How many NCAA Officials does it take to grade an ACT Test?! Obviously they had to hire a few more cuz it took 17 days! #1000PplCouldntGetItDone

Preston has practiced... They pulled him a coule practices in. He's gotten in some work. He's got playbook on his Ipad... Why cant you just be happy for the kid? Just getting him back in school is tremendous news.The wide receiver unit will be okay without him, but its great to have him back as a student-athlete. Plz turn in ur Vol Card sir. You suck!

Agreed. The only big thin he and Dobbs are missing at this point is probably timing. And they have over two weeks to work on that.

The 5* #1 rated QB committed the other day and it took less than 1 page before the hand wringers started worrying if JG would now change his commitment, and if Butch would be able to hold him till signing day 17'.

I guess every crowd has a few who would complain about Chavis giving up 16 pts to FSU and a 3rd string QB ... while their still setting up the celebration stage at midfield!!! :thud:
