Sorry bone but this is beyond dumb. You are completely ignoring our offense. What makes you think they can win a scoring shootout with us? I can see it didnt take long for you to revert back to your cautious self. Eason is a big time QB no doubt, but even if he has a great day throwing the ball, UGAs defense will not be able to stop us like they couldnt last year with a veteran defense.

Well see in 3 days

But we're the only fan base that criticizes their team when they're playing like crap........

lol, I know. Nobody except "Negavols" ever even criticize their players and coaches. Every time I read about how bad our fanbase is according to the nancies on VN, I immediately recognize how stupid that thought is.

This is just conjecture, but if it is true that Smart is a "hard" edged guy and likes to throw the obscenities all over the place, I can certainly believe the notion that the upperclassman may be reluctant to that style. Players are drawn to a coach's personality, and if you know anything about Richt outside football, you know that he's not that sort of person. The personality contrast would be pretty severe.

Either way, I don't care why. I just want us to beat them.

Didn't read through the whole thread, unsure if anyone brought this up yet...

"Several people on multiple UGA sites have said that the upperclassmen are not taking to the new staff well. Basically, they don't like that Kirby cusses every other word at practice and they feel like he is working them too hard. That's been the gist of all those posts. Apparently the younger guys don't have much of an issue with it, but the older guys don't like the change and it's leading to some friction between the upperclassmen and the coaches."

That's why Jeremy Pruitt didn't fit in. He is as hard-nosed as Smart.

There isn't too much data yet. But there are some early indications that Eason is a physically gifted guy with some disconnects between his ears. On a few occasions when they showed his face close up while playing, he looked like Gomer Pyle trying to read Latin. Kind of like someone who suddenly realized there was no one there to tell them the answer to the problem.

We'll see as time goes on if there's something there more than an arm.

This is what I was thinking. Richt was heavily involved in FCA and various charities and missions. We know from some of the recruiting battles he had with UT that some recruits and their parents were attracted to his clean, Christian appeal. I don't think he was faking but it seemed to help him with some players and I'm sure he knew it.

If the players had an expectation of being coached a certain way then got the complete opposite then that will cause some issues.

There are plenty of people on here who ***** no matter what. ***** because of how we won, how Butch talks, Dobbs can't throw, no elite wr will come here, Debord is terrible, Azzani should be fired, people who are enjoying this year are sunshine pumpers and anybody who is tired of the constant *****ing is an Nancy, which I find quite ironic. Since I'm only a Vol fan and only log on Vol boards, it really doesn't matter to me what other fan bases do on their own boards and whatever they do doesn't justify any of the comments on this board.

I know what you mean though :D

If we can pressure Eason, we win. If not, we win by a smaller margin.

So without further ado, here's what the Georgia faithful are saying about Saturday's matchup in Athens:

_____________________________________________

-This evidence of a dumpster fire is too good not to post:

-They are very upset about their O-line play. They feel their O-line is horrendous at run-blocking and not much better at pass protecting

-Honestly, they are reaching for slivers of hope for Saturday. Tennessee's first road game, oddly low betting line, we will be hungover from the Florida game, etc. It's starting to sound like a Utah State-level team convincing themselves they can win.

-I've seen several instances of Richt's "poor recruiting" being blamed for recent woes.

-Responses to a thread asking if UT can win Saturday and possibly secure the East:

-A conspiracy theory from the Valedictorian of the most recent UGA graduating class:

-OPTIMISM!! This is what I like to see:

-PESSIMISM!! Also what I like to see:

-They are very "meh" about Chaney. I haven't seen anyone who is particularly thrilled about him, though some remain optimistic.

-They are very optimistic about Elijah Holyfield getting some carries this game if Chubb is out. I did see this post and the responses cracked me up:

-In the midst of all the griping about the talent Richt left them, I came across this and found it quite interesting. Their 2013 class was mostly a bust as a whole (similar to our 2009 class). Here are the Top 12 commits:

-On how to handle UT:

-Love the response:

-General score predictions have Tennessee winning by 10-14, in a somewhat high scoring affair. Tennessee mid-30's, Georgia low to mid-20's.

-This is the greatest "key to winning" I have ever seen:

_____________________________________________

As you can see, they are a defeated bunch. We remember all too well what that felt like. Let's get as much Orange in their adorable little stadium as we can and make it 5-0.

GBO.

No matter what.

Good stuff. The Dooley comment may be spot. Time will tell but that's the feeling I had when they hired him.

word is that SEC defenses are messing with his freshman head. he hasn't played enough to understand the reads and his check-downs which does take a while to get the feel for. at least ole miss knew this.
