Tennessee (19-10) already clinched the division title and a No. 1 seed in the Southeastern Conference Tournament with a 87-70 victory over South Carolina on Thursday night in Columbia. On Sunday, with its ticket to the Big Dance already punched, the Vols host Alabama (16-13) on Senior Day for a noon tipoff with a chance to reach 20 wins for the fourth season in a row.

Watch Out for the West
With the victory over South Carolina, Tennessee won three straight conference games for first time this season. However, just two of Tennessee’s ten conference wins have come against the Western Division of the SEC. Auburn and Ole Miss defeated the Vols on the road and LSU escaped with a win in Knoxville.
Senior Day
Three seniors will be honored at the game: Ryan Childress, Tanner Wild, and Justin Jackson. While all are reserve players, this senior class sports the best win total in school history (96).
Last Meeting
These two teams played last season in Tuscaloosa where Tennessee pulled out a 93-86 victory led by a combined 45 points from Chris Lofton and JaJuan Smith.
Key Stats
Alabama leads the SEC in rebounding (39.7 per game), an area where Tennessee has struggled at times. The Vols will need a big effort on the boards from both Wayne Chism and Brian Childress.
Another stat to watch is Tennessee’s assist to turnover ratio. Since the Kentucky loss, the Vols have done a nice job of sharing the basketball and limiting turnovers — 53 assists and just 30 turnovers in the last three games.
