in Tennessee Vols Football Recruiting

One of the most electric players who plays his high school ball in Tennessee happens to be only a junior and the news keeps coming out of Jackson, TN about what he did the previous week. Jabriel Washington (Trinity Christian Academy HS) is a 5’11 170 pound athlete that does it all for his team on the field. He lines up at Wide Receiver, Running back, and even Quarterback. Then when he’s not playing offense you can see him playing corner and at times safety.

Safe to say Washington is everywhere on the football field.

“I like playing wherever I am needed to help the team win,” said Washington. “However I really like playing Wide Receiver and Corner the most. Both are just so fun and I am the best at both those positions that it makes me want to play there in college.”

Right now Washington reports 845 passing yards with seven touchdowns, 500 yards rushing with seven more touchdowns on offense. On defense he’s recorded 38 tackles and three interceptions with two being for touchdowns.

“I have a slight edge on people when I play offense and I love having the ball in my hands,” said Washington. “I like the fact that when I get the ball I can honestly say every time I could score. If my team sets me up with good blocks and I read their blocks well I can score every time.”

While only a junior Washington has already seen offers come his way.

“Recruiting is going pretty well for me right now but things should pick up,” said Washington. “I have offers from Georgia, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Cal, Vanderbilt, LSU, Miami, Boston College, and Ole Miss. I hear a lot form Notre Dame and Georgia right now.”

While he’s got a good amount of offers Washington spoke about the local school in Tennessee.

“I love the hometown Vols,” said Washington. “Whenever I go up to the school I like being there. It feels like home sorta. The atmosphere is great up there and its going to get better football wise.”

While he is only a junior Washington is looking for certain things in a college.

“I’d like to go to a school where I feel the most at home,” said Washington. “I’d also like to have a great relationship with the coaching staff and also the team. Another thing I want to see is a place where I can get along well with people outside of football, you know, the community and the school. Those are important too.”

While Washington may only be a junior he did state a top group of schools for him at the moment.

“My top group in no particular order is Georgia, Notre Dame, Tennessee, LSU, Alabama, Cal, Miami, and Florida,” said Williams.

While not having offers from Alabama or Florida Washington still lists them as favorites.

“Alabama and Florida are schools I really want to get offers from because both are top notch schools and are places I think I would fit in perfect with,” said Washington.

Come to Tennessee and you can say that ” I brought them back to the top” and that makes you an ICON. Go to Alabama or Florida and you are just another athelete. Can you trust what Saban tells you? ” I’m not going to Alabama, I’m staying with the Dolphins” Just a little reminder.
