Greenville, SC.- One of the top safeties in the nation appears ready to come off the board soon. JL Mann high star defender Pat Martin has decided he will announce his college decision on August 16th at school. It’s the first day of high school and the time has not been determined yet. What has been determined however is which two schools he will be chosing from.

“I am deciding between Tennessee and South Carolina. It’s all even between the two right now. I’m not sure if I will take additional official visits after my commitment or not.”

With two schools in the fold for Martin, he discussed the positive’s of each college.

“Tennessee is a great place with great facilities. I know if I work hard I will come out of the program NFL ready. There is an opportunity at Tennessee that no other school has. The support staff is amazing. Coach Terry Joseph is my primary recruiter, but I talk to coach (Justin) Wilcox and (Derek) Dooley often. I talked with coach Dooley today in fact. I can relate to the coaches and especially coach (Peter) Sirmon.”

“South Carolina is the in-state school. My friends and family can see me play. The coaches are real cool too, they are always cracking jokes. Coach Sean Elliot is my primary recruiter and he’s a real cool guy. I know half of the team already at South Carolina and my coach is a big fan so I know he’d be happy.”

Martin claims that Tennessee will use him in a true safety role, while South Carolina favors him more as a “nickel” back in their 4-2-5 scheme.

It should really be no contest here, maybe Martin could check out E. Berry’s new deal for added reason why he should choose Tennessee!

Come to UT, Mr Martin, and follow Eric’s way to the NFL and possibly all those $millions$. Get away from home and have a great college career with the Vols! Will look forward to watching you run through the “T” at UT.
