Tennessee reserve quarterback Nash Nance is recovering from successful left foot surgery and his status for spring practice is uncertain.
UT director of sports medicine Jason McVeigh said Tuesday that Nance’s expected recovery time from last week’s surgery is 6-8 weeks. Tennessee’s spring practice dates have not yet been finalized.
A native of Calhoun, Ga., Nance just redshirted his freshman season with the Vols and was anticipating his first spring practice.
Dr. Greg Mathien of the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic performed the surgery.

I hope they removed the bench from his backside while he was there. I’d like to see him in action this year, but NOT due to injuries.
