I would agree with above, Brillo, about west coast beaches. I lived in Orlando for 20 years and went to NSB for day trips but for a week it might get kind of stale. West coast beaches are calmer, warmer, shallower, which is nice if you have kids. Beaches are more sugary powder. Longboat Key is 100 miles from Disney. Check out Longboat Key Club. There is a nice place near there Called St Armand's Circle. Lots of restaurants. Nice place to walk around. Euphemia Haye restaurant is a special occasion place there you will remember forever. Also you can go into downtown Sarasota where there are too many restaurants to pick from in a week. Check out Mote Marine Research Laboratory on a rainy day. Kids will love it.

As far as Caribbean trips, check out Peter Island in BVI. You will think you got off the boat at Fantasy Island. Bitter End Yacht Club is nice there as well. Fly in to Tortola. Hang out around Cane Garden Bay, where you can see Jimmy Buffett on a good day. Check out the Baths. It is a neat beach. Lots of pirate lore. Fun, fun places. You will be trying to figure out how you can move there.

That's funny. But Kiffins play calling in that game was impressive and still stands out. We lost that game because of crappy officiating and worse kicking.

I don't recall anything that stands out, considering that we had 3 points late in the 4th. He got conservative once we got into Alabama territory at the end. Not sure why he thought Lincoln could hit that range. We needed 10 more yards. I was at that game and will never forget it for a couple of reasons. But it was bleak for a while, and the officiating was awful.

We didn't have just 3 points late in the 4th. We were down 13-7 until we scored that TD to go up 14-13 with around 5 minutes to go.

Wait...I thought you were talking about last year lol....nevermind.

88, I need a recommendation on a beach location an hr or so from Disney to split park/beach time one week. Cocoa has nice condos in the 150-200 a night range and good reviews but a friend says it sucks. So what do you recommend?

Forget that!! Stay at Disney all day, every day! If you want a break from the parks one day, resort jump to different pools. Or go to a water park one day.

He said after the game that he wanted to open things up more, but thought that if he tried a longer pass we would be flagged for holding. Of course Bama benefited from the other side of the coin last year when Barnett was held on virtually every play.

And two of those schools have earned hundreds of millions by winning.

No one is condoning rape but many athletes are not the best dudes. You need some rough guys to win. You just hope they can remove their past and make positive changes.

I agree. I wouldn't trade any of the arrest or bad press for those two NCs under Urban.

Yea, I recall him saying that. But Lincoln had already missed 2. I know he didn't want to lose the chance at a FG, but we realistically needed more yards.

This is the best place to ask anything. Thx guys. I feel like I am over informed now actually and back to square one lol. Hmm. Eyes closed, dart, map.

Good off-season discussion. Favorite place in the Caribbean. I'm considering an anniversary trip in a year or two and Jamaica is looking nice.

I'm partial to St. John and St. Croix. I've been helping friends with their archaeology projects on St. Croix the past two summers. So, I got to explore some places off the beaten path.

Obligatory shot from the north shore of St. Croix...

Apologies for getting back on topic, but does anyone have an idea for who the next strength and conditioning coach is?

Bermuda is best island vacation I've taken.

Would love to go Turks and Caicos at some point.

St. Croix is really nice tho. I preferred PR to until it went all mainstream.

What is wrong with US Virgin Islands? Always wanted to go there, buy nobody has mentioned them.

Wife and I went to St. Thomas for our honeymoon. It was amazing. Get off the beaten path some of you go. It's worth it. We also took a ferry over to St. John's one day. Loved it as well. I'd like to spend more time there next time we go down.
