New smyrna still has the option to drive on the beach if I remember correctly. Good family beach. About 1 to 1.5 hours from south Orlando. Depends on i4 traffic.

Cocoa is OK but crowded but they have a neat pier. Gives you some happenings. About 1 to 1.5 hours away. Depending on SR 528 traffic (also has tolls) but it's a straight shot.

We all know Daytona.

You can drive on the beach in NSB but not all of it. South of Chase's does not allow vehicles.

I already have a room at Holiday Inn downtown for that game. My. Ass. Will. Be. There.

Less talking, more recruiting please..

He talked a lot about keeping kids in state. He said that was their primary focus at the moment. I'm hoping he stops by to see Trey Smith while he is down on this end of the state. Also said that he expects all of the currently injured players to be good to go by fall practice.

I was very disappointed in Grand Cayman when I went a few years ago.

I bought a home in the S Sound area last year. Best decision I've made. Not needing to write that property tax check each year was enough for me. I will say being in town when the cruise ships dock is something to avoid.

Harbour island, Bahamas and I almost feel bad about sharing it. It's that good. Peep my Instagram Instagram.com/benisrad

British Virgin Islands. Take a bareboat or captained boat charter and island hope the chain. You'll be hooked for life. Guaranteed.

88, I need a recommendation on a beach location an hr or so from Disney to split park/beach time one week. Cocoa has nice condos in the 150-200 a night range and good reviews but a friend says it sucks. So what do you recommend?

Try New Smyrna.

Edit: I see I've been Volnationed about 10 times.

I've been going to New Smyrna since 81. Have seldom missed a year. If you decide to go, I can recommend some good eats and even a condo. We prefer to stay South because there is no driving on the beach. A couple of condos South are the South Wind, and Sand Piper. Both are nice and family oriented.

Looks like a heavenly place. What is the accommodation options there and cost? Doesn't look very crowded either.

Good off-season discussion. Favorite place in the Caribbean. I'm considering an anniversary trip in a year or two and Jamaica is looking nice.

I'll let y'all know in a week. :) I'm going to Turks and Caicos, Dominican Republic and The Bahamas on a cruise. I've been to St. Thomas and St. John on my honeymoon and St. John was by far our favorite, although a little more secluded than STT.

I love Tampa bay. I pretty much despise the east coast. The Tampa bay area offers everything. And the Pinellas and Manatee county beaches are among the best in the world. They are not much farther, and much better than anything comparable time wise on the east coast. It will always be home to me.
