I don't think you understand how difficult that matchup was as we broke in a new QB fir his first start and missed two key LBs - the most critical position against a triple option. That was a hell of win and Butch led the team to it.

GT is capable of beating most teams in the Top 25. What the hell is there to be upset with CBJ about? We didn't get enough style points for you??

That was the worst whipping I ever saw Tennessee win. The Vols just kept doing what they knew to do, and at the end it was just enough. Talk about a team that could have given up but didn't. They're tough.

For one thing why did he let GT save a TO by calling one for them allowing them to run an extra play getting closer for the potential game winning FG? The blocked FG saved Butch's arse. Stupid TO.

I just cant get on board with Shoop. Yet another all time record performance against this D. And Penn St hasnt exactly regressed since he left.

Maybe we should run two RBs in some formations and have a little option offense package ourselves. They wont let Dormady run it. Might as well.

I actually agree with you on that one but the big picture is GT and that offense is for real and has been a nuisance to many good teams. It was a good win...ask Georgia each year.

Shoop def needs to be evaluated by CBJ cause whatever it is he's doing clearly doesn't work. How many rushing records are his Ds gonna let be broken? Honestly he could knock off 3-5 yds a run if he didn't have players holding up the person they were suppose to be tackling trying to strip the ball. I get that you want them to make an attempt if they can but they shouldn't let the guy run an extra 5 yds while they repeatedly fail to strip the ball.

I was impressed with this teams composure and resilience, just hope they don't need to show that too many more times this season

Dear Lord, I'm glad that is over and that we won. I also know I'm gonna be hung over and worthless as hell tomorrow. On to the next one.

Upon further review, I can't think of a single SEC East team that the Vols would beat with that performance tonight. However, they kept fighting and never gave up. They showed a lot of heart by coming back.

I will just point out that Tennessee beat a team that was 3-0 vs the SEC East last season... I could also point out that Missouri gave up 34 points to Missouri State in the first half but instead, I will just leave it at that.

I feel you bud. I am concerned also but look at how we beat GA last year. This just seems to be a continuation of last year. We HAVE to get better on both sides of the ball especially on the line. How did our secondary get so bad too?
