Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

It really does. we give them a wide berth but we haven't been approached one time by homeless, druggies, or crazies.
That was the one thing that jumped out at me in San Antonio a couple of weeks ago. So much homelessness and aggressive panhandling even right on the Riverwalk which is the city’s bread and butter tourism district. I have no desire to go back now.

You really cannot go to hardly any town where homelessness is not rampant. Drug fueled crisis.

Textbook description.
Portland was the same way. Some street were literally taken over by the homeless, even to vehicular traffic. But when you engaged with them, rarely, it was always polite. I think I did get asked for a light once but overall not bad.

Also very very white. Hotel maids, white. Mexican fusion place, white. India (dot) tea garden, white. It was a mecca of cultures all run by white people. Strange.

@AM64

What for dinner?

Good question, but I'll play gross out from what I remember seeing here in the past. I had two pimento cheese sandwiches with extra mayo when I got home ... and a politically correct Dr Pepper. For all you pimento cheese haters, you should try some Pawley Island "palmetto cheese" - complete with the South Carolina state logo on the label. It's pretty dry - mostly cheese and pimento which is why I always add mayo. Just for Hog and a couple of you other heathens - I didn't have a dill pickle with the sandwiches - I've been known to swill a little dill pickle juice from time to time, too.

A horse. Didnt you read his post?

What was that movie where one had to eat the 96 ouncer steak for free?
ahh..
