Any of y'all remember having to do fundraisers for your kids and once they got out of secondary education you said "thank goodness that is over?"

Well here I am having to do this stuff again. My daughter is in competitive dance, now I'm back to asking for money and doing fundraisers. I thought this stuff was over for me up until a month ago. Now I'm standing in 95° heat holding signs and washing cars. Ain't this a beach.

My daughter was on a dance team from 8th grade until she graduated. I'd almost rather be water boarded than attend another weekend long dance competition.

So I hear. I'd rather she play sports. But then I'd just be in weekend long softball.

I don't think I could take another softball game with the cheering that the girls do after watching mine play from tee-ball all through high school. I watched my grandson play a baseball last week and they had a couple of either former cheerleaders or softball player moms in the opposing dugout and they had the boys singing cheers the entire game. I was ready to rip my ears off by the end of the game.
