I really think he has thrown a wrench in the works at Kentucky. Like him or not the guy could recruit, not only that he was able to convince lottery pick level players to share playing time. He is a made man as far as the NCAA was concerned and had the officials in his pocket.I have to say...this is a boss move by Calipari if this happens...heck it may have happened already, I don't know because I've been out of pocket..
Either way..Calipari telling Kentucky their 33 million don't mean crap to him, and his pride is worth more to him, that he will not grovel and take the endless slings offrom the admin or fanbase after what he has done there is actually impressive to me...I did not see that coming.
My respect for him went from zilch to at least a little.
Kentucky, unless they replace him with Wright, will have a coach with much less gravitas. I think this similar to Saban being replaced by DeBoer. Anyone less than Bear Bryant is a step down.
