I assume it’s to win. It won’t work against good teams is what I’m saying. Turnovers or slow them down, doesn’t matter. Nobody presses at the highest level (NBA, WNBA, Women’s Final 4).
Hmmmm. Here is a story by Sue Bird. Talking about a time when the opposing coach told Nicky he would give her xxx every time she stole the ball from Sue.

" At the time they had a point guard named Nicky McCrimmon, and she was tough on defense. She could pick you up full court, that kind of a thing.

"But I noticed that it was a little more than normal. She was really picking me up full court, really pressuring me, and I was like, what the f---? Then she actually stripped me in the backcourt two times, which as point guard, is a nightmare. You never want to have that happen

Darrione Rogers from MSST in the portal...hmmmm

She’s a really nice player.

I think Purcell is gonna crash and burn there. He really had a nice roster this season and they imploded after a good start.

Carter should have been one of the best centers in the conference but she was very under utilized. Could have been her own issues getting in the way.

If the coach lets u stay, why would u leave when u are most likely getting a lot of playing time?
Well some of them are not going to get that playing time. She plays nine or ten most of the minutes so with an expected three or four at least coming in from the portal somebody won't be playing much.

He has a lot of work to do even with HVL and Jordan coming back for a fifth year. Then he has Russell coming in from Kentucky so lot of work to do. At least one of the teams we are way ahead of.

Amazing we haven't had one player enter the portal. Some of these schools half their team is in.

I agree it is surprising, but so much of the roster has only 1 year left and I am thinking many of them are not planning on pro bball, so finishing their degree at UT and utilizing their connections and comfort zone may outweigh any positives of transferring. It'll be interesting now that the coaching staff is more set, if players start transferring in, will the current roster start to creep out? At this point I'm just in wait and see mode and just want to enjoy watching the team next season 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Do u think they could transfer and get more mins on better teams?
They could probably find a team where they could get more minutes. I don't know who will be left out of the rotation just assured someone will. I guess they all think they can make it which is certainly the way you should be thinking. There are two or three that just really do not fit what this new coach is going to do on the floor. We have about six who her system should make better.

Yes they can always go to a mid major for more mins, but I doubt they can get mins on a good team. But none of that matters if they all stay.

It is a good sign that no one has left, tho I sure wish Jewel would make it official since she left it a little fuzzy. I do think most having just one yr left and wanting to stay together is a big help. Good that Coop and Boyd also seem on board. Good accomplishment for CKC.

If there turns out to be a little subtraction by addition thru the portal, that's to be expected.

Just shows that the new coach is able to relate to players in a good way.

She never removed any of her posts and said in her interview she would know after her second meeting with Coach Kim. That was last week sometime and she looks to be happy with the direction we are going.

She is one we need to keep she is a solid for us as a two guard next season. Were needing a five even a couple of them and one really consistent scorer at the three four. Point guard I feel ok to let Talaysia. Boyd, and Wells take that position. If we can get some strong inside players this team really moves up the SEC charts quickly.

Jewel definitely seems happy and was right in the center of the draft watch party last night, smiling broadly and videoing the tv from her phone. Doesn't owe us a public statement and we can imply by her continued presence she's all good. Still would like confirmation though.

Yeah I’m really excited now, I think the staff she just put together will recruit really well. It’s finally a truly new era in Knoxville.

Hopefully they can get busy adding what we need now.

South Carolina and LSU will still be at the top of the SEC next season. I expect Texas and OU to compete for top 4 spots as well. OU lacks the size they will need for the SEC though so I think they struggle some next year.

Everyone is talking Kentucky but I’m still not sold. I’m just not sure how much of a coach Kenny really is. Kitley was the #1 offensive efficiency volume scorer in the country before she went out. Kinda like Rickea she really carried them. They were just not very good after she went out even with a quality roster. They lost by 30 to ND in the ACC tourney and then to Baylor in the NCAA second round and Baylor is mediocre at best.

Before anyone mentions him beating Marshall, duh, there is a huge talent gap between the ACC and sunbelt. That takes nothing away from what CKC accomplished at Marshall, even taking them to the tournament was incredible for that program who had not been since 1997.
