If we go balls deep in portal at OL, and Glengarry doesnt play any young players next year. I think you have to make a move.

Have been underwhelmed for a while.

So. . . you don't think someone else would've scored a lot of those TDs that Sampson got?

Anyway, not a single person would be saying this offense fell way off from Golesh if the WRs just caught 40% of their drops.

I don't think it has too much two due with how they feel about the underclassmen. They are going all in on a natty next year. Won't be surprised at all if they go awl out for a few very good, experienced OLinemen.

Serious question,
Why do you care about whether a linemen is a HS recruit or portal recruit?
Because in the NIL era, OL in particular are going to come more and more from portal. Many P4 schools are looking at exclusively recruiting OL from portal because there are so many misses in recruitment of OL and they take a long time to develop. There will always be a few 5 star can’t miss OL, but they are the exception and not the rule.

All we should care about is the performance of the OL.

That’s 7 out of the top 10 that’s on the SEC. So how do you overcome that? Now I also found something interesting that On3 does. It puts average NIL. Now let’s evaluate that.

To the 1st part of your post, there is little difference between teams ranked #6 thru #10. They are pretty much even, and I like the kids in our class better than the teams ranked right above us. Our staff has proven they are excellent evaluators, especially on defense where our 25 class is ridiculous especially at Dline and LB...the front 7. These are just the HS classes too, we will likely move up several spots after our portal guys are added as we did last year. McCoy, Moi, Brazzell, Heard etc made huge impact this season. Bru and Thornton were also portal guys...


As to the 2nd part of your post, I think those stats are complete BS. Our NIL contracts are private business contracts between Spire and each athlete right? It isnt like Coaches salaries at a land grant state school like UT. Those salaries are public record because the coaches are actually the highest paid employees of the State of Tennessee. Unless I am mistaken, websites have no way of knowing each players NIL deal...and therefore have no chance whatsoever at actually correctly stating an "average" of all the players contracts, divided by the number of players. If anyone who posts here can link an actual site or pdf file that has the NIL contract value of every player on the football roster (128 of them IIRC counting walk-ons before any leave or come in next weeks open portal) then we can average those contracts ourselves and see how much our guys get paid. I would think that the last thing that UT, the coaches, and the players want is for each players contract to be a matter of public record. This would cause jealousy, infighting, conflict, and drive the players contracts up by a significant amount IMO. The ONLY person or group that I can see wanting these NIL contracts public info would be the agents who leech off the players. Personally, I wouldn't put any stock in those figures above but I could certainly be wrong. Appreciate you posting that information though my VOL brother.

They're old throwback Urnge colors. Dont wear them much, if ever. Beside being horrendously ugly, not very comfortable. The EB jersey is its companion. Wear them lightheartedly, against Vandy.

Adidas is sooo 1999. If had it to do over wouldve thrown in black, or, done reverse. Orange stripes with white exterior.

Adidas Shelltoes are great shoes. I had the all black ones in low tops and high tops back in HS. I have the low top all white ones with black stripes now. Great shoes.

Pro Tip: they stick to roof plywood and/or underlayment better than boots with Vibram soles or literally anything else I have ever worn. Best shoes ever for the roof. My buddy and I both always wore them when framing/sheeting/ felting roofs.

There is zero mystery about "how"...our QB played like the Fr he is in his first real SEC hostile environment...our OTs were badly out of game shape thanks to injuries.

Play that game now and we win by 14 at least.
