I'd love to get as high as you get on potential portal dudes. Seems fun
Not potential portal dudes. It was more or less a joke because of what I said last night.

But seriously speaking, I wonder if we hear something about that Budd Clark kid next week…Merrimack’s season is over this weekend…unless they win of course.

Edit: Merrimack lost….lets see if Budd enters the portal soon.

Yeah I can definitely see a lot of people getting mad that we may not go after a big lol

Okpara / Cade / JP / Brown.

Maybe you we can land a very dominant stretch 4.

Does UT have interest in Quimari Peterson from ETSU? He was terrific for the Bucs this past year
Looked into him just for myself and I don't know how much he translates to be honest. The dip in his shot is incredibly low. He shoots 40% from 3 on left side and 31% on right side. He is good at scoring at the rim but not down low. At a light 6'1, I don't know how much that translates or at least something I want to count on every time. He had a good assist rate but he's not someone I want being the primary ball handler either. He seems like a high mid major guy or South Carolina if Lamont Paris gets Socon-horny again imo

I could JP MAYBE leaving, but he seems to really enjoy the school and team.

I hope he stays, I think he could end up being pretty dang solid.
Not sure how you can formulate an opinion until all the bids other teams make to our players? If another team offers something well above what we determined as fair value then we will be hitting the portal for a replacement. Don’t have to enter the portal as tampering doesn’t count these days

This is a name I’ve heard…

Big body 6'10" 265lbs and it seems like he really got better as the year continued and he got more minutes. Would be a good addition.

He finished the season with 10 straight games scoring double digits.

Dropped 37 against Stetson in their conference touranment
Dropped 24 to end regular season at Lipscomb

Thought we didn’t need a big man….definitely take though and we have the room.

Seems like a guy that would probably come in, sit for a season and learn, then play the following season once Okpara is gone.

Who knows, maybe he and Brown can turn into the next Grant/Admiral….just bigger

Without Igor back and with JP's injury history... I think adding another big gives Brown more time to develop and some security if JP is hurt or if Felix gets banged up.

I think they'd want Cade more as a 3/4 type if possible.

Can’t see any way Cade is ever a 3

He won't be, we almost never play less than 3 guards and usually play 4.

The Turner kid is a 5 all the way though. So he wouldn't really be taking minutes from Cade who I think they'll want to play more at the 4 this year. JP getting injured forced him into playing more 5 this season.

I feel like 5 or 6 healthy bigs is a must in SEC play and with 13 scholarships no reason not to have that many.

Felix - SR
JP - RS-SO
Cade - JR
Brown - FR

With JP having missed so much from injuries I'd be fine with adding 2 in portal and try to get 1 of them to be a bit of a stretch 4 option.

We need a four that can stretch the floor. Cade's range is one foot. Maybe Estrella can be that but we need one in the portal to be his backup if nothing else. It looks like we may end up with a room full of centers and no four if we are not careful.
