Oh cool! I knew he did some things with local radio but thought he was just here a lot with Navy being at UT. He’d be a great choice imo.

Ummm......50/50 on that! I mean i'm a big fan but do you think he's got the mojo? Well maybe, not knocking your post friend but hmmm....Could be a golden choice but never heard him call a single game of any kind. Just comments!!

I have no clue, but his role would be as an analyst, providing commentary, not necessarily calling the game. I do think he provides a lot of good insight and has the personality for it. Not a lot of guys we've had do commentary really had experience before, that I know of. Hamer for bball obviously does. If it were pmay by play, then I agree completely. There were tons here wanting to plug in any former Vol in that role, most of whom had no experience. This is a different type of job. Kevin Simon has experience mostly in high school. I've been in the box with him a few times, I think he could do well, OverStreet too. It may be that Mike Keith flies solo to start. IDK. Looking forward to the new era, but appreciate the last one as well.

He routinely ranks at the top of fan polls as the best, so I think it’s more your group of friends that doesn’t like him. To each his own.

Can't believe this name hasn't been mentioned yet, Phil Fulmer. Not that I'm pushing for that but I figured some of his disciples would have floated his name by now.

And I wonder if they will add a female sideline reporter also

Like I said earlier, likely to be Ramon Foster and Jayson Swain, with Swain staying on the sideline.
