The Official 2025 March Madness Discussion Thread

Been an abysmal game from both teams for shooting 3s because both 2-19 before a recent miss makes the Red Storm is 2-20.

Wow, the announcer really criticizing pitino keeping his star player on the bench these last few minutes

Saint John’s has a young team that was going through growing pains in their first March Madness Tournament which along with only making 2 threes made it more likely to lose to Arkansas.

Based on what I saw today, Tennessee is better offensively than St. Johns. I wouldn't suggest Lanier have a game like their star player did, but if he did Tennessee at least has some other things to lean on.

Kudos to Cal and the Hogs. Resurrected the season after a horrendous start. Got them playing at a much higher level at a good time. Might be his best coaching job in a long time.

Honestly mad props to Cal for this season. Making the sweet 16 after an 0-5 SEC start is absolutely incredible.

Maybe this’ll shut the “SEC was overrated” crowd up. Won’t hold my breath, though.

Except they’re 65th in offensive efficiency and we’re 18th. Big difference.

The whole flaw of Saint John’s having that offensive flaw can’t continue to be be overcome vs better quality teams that are far better in offensive efficiency as in 40th or higher.

That was some awful endgame play and coaching from St. John’s. Pretty much just gave up.
