Yep. Boswell isn't a PG.

He seems to have a lot of Mashack to his game. Very good defensively but lacking a little on the offensive side of the ball. His shot doesn’t look bad, but he just needs some work on the offensive side of things.

Personally I love the Troy Henderson addition. The kid can play! He looks great in watching his film, and this past year in high school he averaged 6.1APG at John Marshall. If he’s as good as he is confident then we found another diamond.

I think people are being a bit early in their absolutes about Bishop.

He's only played 106 minutes and taken just 11 shots in that time. He wasn't a top 50 ranked guy out of HS...and if he's a bit of a developmental player then year 3 is when Guards typically take over under Barnes.

So still plenty of time for him to develop and if he's a good cultural fit then you don't want to see him leave.

I assume the first Henderson in that sentence should be Boswell. But I agree. Boswell isn't a PG and any attempt to continue pretending he is is a waste of time. Teach him to shoot and play defense.

guessing you mean bosewell, but i never thought about that idea. they’re the same size as well, so i think that could turn out well in that direction

Agreed, and one reason I think this year has been big for him. Gainey, Chaz, and Mashack all here to help guide him into that role.

I see no reason why Boswell would leave after one year working with our coaches and will be one of few returning players.

Arizona seems to the the favorite, his agent has pushed for him to go there with James to increase exposure, and also the nice NIL bump they offered

I’m just going to assume that the uncertainty around Barnes combined with the lack of a top tier NIL (I know we won’t overpay, not saying we should) is killing our high school recruiting. It really seems we should have more momentum with top-end high school talent than we have these past few years.
