Honestly what is the obsession with final 4 anyways? Why do Kentucky fans knock us for no final 4s but they don’t say “no natties”. Isn’t a final 4 just a participation trophy. Losing today is literally no different than losing next week. You didn’t win the natty. Just something I don’t really get lmao

Playoffs mean nothing. Making the final four for the first time in program history means a lot. It shows your program is elite. Man I cannot believe your stance on this. Good grief.

All I’m asking is why is it the final 4 that’s the equivalent and not an elite 8 ? And in all seriousness yes it’s cool to make the playoff but simply making it still doesn’t mean you won anything. Just kinda stone cold facts.

My gratitude for this basketball season outweighs my sadness for today's outcome. Until rules change, we'll not see 4-5 year players like ZZ and Mashack. This was a special team.

IMO, it’s also easier to make Omaha. Double elimination and top 8 seeds get to host until Omaha. Not taking away any championships, but basketball is tougher, even for great teams.

I get it being single elimination is what makes it “Madness” but one does have to wonder how different previous final 4s would look if it were double elimination.

Just hate it that a FF will elude UT and Rick Barnes (as UT's coach) for yet another year. And being honest, unless we have the mother of all portal hauls, just making the tournament the next two seasons will be a success.

The man is damn snakebit when it comes to getting there. Creepy Todd Golden already has one. Frank ****ing Martin has one. Bruce is about to get his second. Skeezy Nate Oats has one.

Deacon Barnes has one from 20 years ago but none here. Life just ain't fair, man.

Barnes needs to beg, plead, or steal to find the NIL funds to land some 7'5" freak and maybe we can have our own Zach Edey who can't be breathed on without drawing a foul. If we can't make a FF the traditional way maybe we can get there by exploiting the horrible officiating that plagues the sport.

I mean, it’s Kentucky fans…I’m just amazed they keep running their mouths even without an Elite Eight since 2019, no Final Four in a decade & haven’t won a SEC championship at all in 5 years.

To each his own, I just cant get into baseball like I can football or basketball. I think lack of televised games has a lot to do with that fwiw

Bruce has been amazing at Auburn which is a terrible basketball job with awful history. Might get two Final 4’s there. I appreciate what he did at Tennessee in jump starting the continuous success in basketball. What could have been . Anyway. Good season for Vols basketball. Maybe we’ll crack the Final 4 one day.

Since I'm in a ranting mood, I'll just say thank GOD for Tony V. I like the "Everything School" stuff when we're winning but when we keep coming up short like this in the post-season, especially as our rivals advance and we get thumped in embarassing fashion, it just starts to look kinda lame.

But ol' Tony made good and delivered the hardware. I know that most people rank baseball third, and often a distant third, but it's still pretty important in the SEC. And we're the reigning champions and maybe better than last year. So that's pretty damn cool and is really the only thing that makes me believe we aren't truly cursed.

If Florida loses one of their next two games, their end result is the same as ours. I don’t consider Auburn a rival tbh
