Many teams that have more titles in basketball than we do didn’t make it as far as we did. And making the final four days something. It says you are one of the four best teams in the nation amongst how many D1 schools? Final fours matter. They matter big time.

I’m just tryna figure out why final 4 is the end all be all of that accomplishment. Progress is a fair answer in our case. But at the end of the day only 8 teams make the ELITE 8 which sounds like a pretty cool feat to me but it isn’t carried with the same weight with literally one game being the difference between the two.

I’m blaming the cold shooting on playing a basketball game in a football stadium. I may be forgetting a team, but it feels like Duke is the only one that’s actually shot well in the Elite 8.

Historically, it’s because they’ve always staged the national semifinals in a different venue than the rest of the tourney, which makes it kind of a natural benchmark.

Lol Kirby smart said his Georgia team this past season wasnt good. Must be nice to win the sec championship and not be good. High expectations after winning two national championships

He’s got a point really. Really feel like they only won some of those games because opposing teams get caught up in mentals too much. Like Kentucky had no business losing that game. Texas should have hosed them in the SECCG. We just refused to make any simple adjustments

I don’t think that’s accurate… The big accomplishment for the SEC use to be the Sugar bowl. There is no road to the Sugar Bowl. The College World Series was considered a huge deal well before the media or fans cared about College Baseball.
