The great news about Faizon winning the job COULD be that we have we indeed have that 5 star 1st round draft pick type guy finally.

Or

He's just ok and GMac has serious issues.

I remember thinking GMac looked way better than Merkslinger, but clearly something isn't really clicking there. Hearing how Faizon is more decisive with his legs/willing to run sounds like the difference.

What I'm worried about is accuracy...these super strong armed QB's make me nervous. So many of them just refuse to reign in their howitzer! Underwood at Michigan just rifles it out there, DJ ukulele had a big arm with wild throws and several others. Faizon overthrowing some deep balls in the spring game worries me.

If Faizon overall has a higher football IQ, you have to put him out there. We have weapons, we have a mastermind coach...hit the open ones pls.

Heup will figure out the QB issue. It is a good problem to have - two talented guys. There were no Mendoza types in the portal to take IMO. So best man wins the job.

The players wanted Milton when he flunked and Hooker took over. If the starters on O want to play they will do their best for whoever is out there. Paychecks and futures in the NFL are on the line. This isn't high school where you can tank your role and get one of your buddies on the field.

Is that true? I thought the talk out of camp was how McIntyre was the more likely runner

Well it's felt like Faizon has the edge before Trey Wallace said what he said...it's been at best neck and neck.

I think it has been widely reported to be neck and neck, which commentary has interpreted as "If it's already so close and Faizon just got here, Faizon must be a heavy favorite".

Neck and neck could also mean no one has any idea. Likely because the staff hasn't even started the process of seriously comparing them to each other.

My guess would be, mentally, George was way ahead of Faizon in the Spring. And if that's the case, the takeaway isn't "George is the guy". It's "Let's give Faizon a couple of months to catch up before we start picking winners and losers".

Pro tip:

Anyone with a puppy, "fake" clip their nails every now and then. Get some clippers and just go through the motions and give them treats.

Saves you from the drama when they get older!

I don’t have as much knowledge on the baseball regional seeding situation as we normally would have for basketball.

If the Vols sweep Oklahoma, does it give UT an outside shot of hosting a regional? I would think there at least would be a chance, especially finishing a hypothetical 16-14 in conference play.

Def heard more buzz about Faizon being more apt to take off and make plays, whereas GMAC took more sacks, threw the ball away.
