Recruiting Forum Football Talk IX

If you find yourself off Middlebrook pike and see a food truck named Kazoku, run! Or if you see it on uber or doordash, avoid. Stopped to get gas at Phillips 66 and wondered over to glance at the menu. Wasn't hungry and had never eaten at a food truck, was just curious. Roaches crawling all over the outside of the food truck. It was a horror movie. Front window and side closest to the road had them everywhere. Didnt get any closer. Normally I mind my own business and stay in my lane, but I had to call and report it to the health department. Horrifying! A warning to fellow vol fans! During the season if Bama fans, Florida fans, etc ask for a good local spot to eat, send them here.

Though, I believe they've been exposed time and time again. They've been exposed in recent playoff performance and in bowls before that. But yes, this will really shine a light on the discrepancy. However, this does give us more 'relevant' games to watch. But please, oh please, don't expand beyond 24.
The field of 128 is coming soon. Regular season? Who needs a stinkin' regular season? They're destroying college football at a rapid pace.

Happy Tuesday

Scripture — Psalm 116:15 (NIV)
“Precious in the sight of the Lord
is the death of his faithful servants.”
Reflection:
This verse can feel heavy at first glance. But Psalm 116 is not glorifying death — it is revealing the depth of God’s care for His people.

“Precious in the sight of the Lord…”
God is not distant from suffering, grief, or the ending of earthly life. He sees it fully. The word precious points to value, closeness, and deep attention. Nothing about the life of a faithful servant is insignificant to Him — not their struggles, their prayers, their endurance, or even their final breath.

Psalm 116 is written by someone who had experienced distress and deliverance. The psalmist knew fear, weakness, and dependence on God. And in the middle of that understanding comes this truth: God does not abandon His people in their hardest moments.

For believers, death is not separation from God — it is entrance into His presence through Christ. That is why this verse carries both sorrow and hope. The Lord values His people so deeply that He holds even their passing with care and purpose.

This verse also reminds us how precious life itself is. If the Lord treasures His servants this deeply, then every day matters. Every act of faithfulness matters. Quiet obedience matters. Encouraging someone matters. Loving people well matters.
You are not unseen by God.
Not in your labor.
Not in your weariness.
Not in your faithfulness.
And not in your fears about the future.
The Lord holds His people closely from beginning to end.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your deep care for Your people. Thank You that nothing in our lives is unseen or insignificant to You. In moments when life feels fragile or uncertain, remind me that Your presence is steady and near. Teach me to live faithfully and purposefully, knowing my life has value in Your sight. Comfort those who carry grief, fear, or loss today, and fill them with the hope found in Christ. Help me trust You not only in joyful seasons, but also in the difficult ones. Thank You for holding Your children with compassion from beginning to end. Amen.
