Hyams agrees with Feldman re: Dooley being fired if UT doesn't beat Bama or USC.

Look at how many Bama fans will be in stands...that was the nail in the coffin for Fulmer.

"If you lose your fan base, you lose your job."

Players only meeting was "about time."

AJ Johnson said all defense players weren't committed and hadn't bought in.

Sunseri said DEF has lost confidence since they haven't had success, but he is confident.

CP will get snaps at RB, but he's not convinced Neal won't play. Neal was a little gimpy, but may play.

Marlon Lane will start, Young and CP will get carries.

UT will have a few new wrinkles offensively, but Bama has no weaknesses on defense.

1st real offense Bama will play.

Bray must have a great game...good isn't enough.

DEF must show up for 4 quarters, if there is any shot.

Dooley trying to help minimize mistakes on DEF...needed to simplify defense.

Gave up 20 plays of 10+ yards against Miss State.

Expect to see more 4 man front tomorrow.

In hindsight, Jimmy questions the move to a 3-4.

McNeil played ok. But scary that the last line of defense is a true freshman.

Secondary isn't a good unit this year. Until you have CBs that can cover, you'll struggle. Maybe they should move to zone coverage.

Break time.

All valid points. Something to consider about bama, they really havent played ANYONE with a great offense.
Look at who theve played, the top offenses are Michigan (with a glorified RB at Qb), Arkansas(backup QB), Ole Miss, and Mizzou (backup QB)
There coached by Saban, so they will be good in every phase, but im intrested to see, if we punch them in the mouth a bit, score some TD's, (only given up 45 pts this year) , i wonder how they will respond.

Truely havent been tested, not saying we go out score 50 points and win, just saying, I want to test that defense a little bit and not crown them as world beaters because of what previous teams have done there

What does "get carries" mean for CP exactly? They surely aren't going to run him between the tackles. Maybe he will run sweeps along with reverses. I can see that--maybe. We should probably throw him at least three bubble screens a game--AT LEAST.

Yep, yep, yep......and yep. Ok, so now what? Basically boils down to how bad do the Vols want to win. We are outmatched all over the field including the sidelines. Only attitude and a will to win for four quarters can tip the scales in our favor. We will know very quickly Saturday night whether the team wants it or whether it is just another "going through the motions" kind of effort.

If we had any kind of defense, I'd give us a fighting chance in this game because we can move the ball and score. But our defense is shockingly LAME--our outside LBs are bad--and bama is going to run it down our throat all afternoon.

UT's offense *can* be great and explosive. The offense is still inconsistent and still commits drive stalling, game losing mistakes.

I wish everybody would get a clue! Dooley will be are coach next year period. At 5.3 Mill. buy out UT is not goining to fire him that is the bottom line. So get behind the team and support them or find another team.

Annnnd we're back...

Dooley needs to remind the players of their good performances this season. They need to play an entire game.

They've rushed for more yds so far this year than all of last year.

UT's talent is 6th best in SEC.

Not picking UT to win, but they can have a chance if they play their best.

Dooley in 1st 2 years said they didn't have the "stature" to beat the bama's and lsu's of the world. He makes no excuses now. Team has ability/talent to win that wasn't available his 1st 2 years.

Bray needs to step up in 4th. Has feasted on non-conference players. But has bad #s against elite teams. Has to prove he can get it done in 4th quarter.

Bray's mobility has gotten better each day. Lucky he didn't get hurt much worse on that tackle.

Expect Bama to play 2 safeties and dare them to run on them. UT must prove they can.

Mentally, team has had a good week. Very energetic. They understand what's at stake in this game.

They want to win the game for themselves. They aren't looking at this as a save Dooley moment. They are embarrassed at being 1-11 in last 12 SEC games.

Picks LSU to beat A&M. 24-20.

USC-UF...picking Florida. USC struggles in road games.

I prefer "Christ the Lord is Risen Today", but Jimmy is also a "hymn" I can tolerate.

Get a clue?...Yes sir..You do indeed need to get a clue :good!: Anyone who supports a losing coach is most likely a fan of another team...You a BAMMER BOY?

That's true but they're still averaging 38 points a game. The problem is the defense is giving up an average of 32 points a game. We will put up points against Bama but if we have any chance the defense has to find a way to hold them under 30.
