I think he was fully aware that another loss would make even more money swing in his favor to hire a new coach. Hart's decision was made after the Mississippi St. game and now he timed it perfect.

AS much as I want this coaching staff to win it's time to fire them. You just can't be 0-6 in the sec at Tennessee. I don't care who the coach is this can't happen.

I think he'd be absolutely retarded to stay silent now.. At the very least come out and say he won't be retained.. There is nothing to gain by keeping silent now..

Hate to say I saw this loss coming. Was hoping we would win.

Hart has to be on the clock for a coach now. NC ST, KY, AR, and others are all ready on the lookout.

i still don't think he does it, unless he has a homerun hire lined up
if he announces it, he's opened the floodgates to daily inquistions to Dooley's replacement

4 sure! Where do you sign up to go to AD school? I want some of that action...

Maybe that's why Hart chose to consolidate the men's and women's departments - couldn't have the women quietly showing what competence looks like.

The team still has a chance to get to 6 wins and a bowl game. You fire Dooley now and that's gone. If he loses to Vanderbilt, then you fire him.

But why does that matter? Why is it okay for other teams to fire their coaches and announce it loudly, but we always play everything close to the vest? They are going to have millions more in lost revenue for the Kentucky game. Who wants to watch that crap?

There's no evidence to the contrary at this point. I'll hold off on my judgement until he names dooleys replacement.

Hart's decision was made today. The season was going to play out regardless, with Hart making a decision based on the totality of everything involved. A loss down the stretch would be a dagger and everybody knew it. Truthfully, I think Hart, deep down, feels a sense of relief, considering all the things going on in the ath dept right now.

Just hope we do the search the right way and our program gets a deserved freaking break with the next coach.

He should have a hell of a list by now...... Plenty of time has past since Kentucky BS last year.......

I have a question. I'm not trying to start up anything or "stir the pot." What are the benefits of our AD staying quiet about CDD's job status? From what I have read on here our recruiting is not where it needs to be and it appears other attractive SEC schools will be looking for a coach as well. Somebody educate me on why the AD wouldn't issue a statement of support or lack thereof and pull the plug. I will hang up and listen. Oh and as you can tell I'm no "insider" just a guy that loves UT.

the only teams to announce are auburn and Ky and they are out of bowl consideration

This team has no chance to get to 6 wins with Dooley. I have been less of a Dooley supporter over the last couple of weeks, but now I'm firmly planted on the "FIRE DOOLEY" bandwagon. He has to go.. NOW!!
