Yes there is...its called life...

It's disrespectful to the coach and undermines leadership when the family of a current player starts lashing out publicly. I think CCM needs to be replaced but I don't think he needs to be embarrassed by family members of players. It's classless and does nothing productive. It also teaches the player a horrible life lesson about handling adversity and respecting authority.

You have messed up point of view of you enjoy hearing CCM get bashed by family members of a disgruntled player. He's a fine man, not a good coach, there are far worse crimes than that.

and he walked on, he can walk off if he doesn't want to be there

that was actually a glen Campbell reference from a movie and song @ 40 yrs ago.
Trying for a little silly levity, but you can always count on VN to ruin it for everybody

This is not going to help him get any more playing time.

edit: I wonder how they verify who is actually calling in? I mean, could anyone just call up, say they are Brandon Lopez's second cousin, and start riffing?

Galen Campbell ‏@smoovcampbell 16m "I had absolutely nothing to do with anything that my "relatives" said.. Love this Univ."

The fact that he puts "relatives" in quotes makes me think it was just some random people calling in.

That, or maybe he doesn't have the best relationship with them.

CCM is disrespectful to the fans with his piss poor coaching.

He deserves to be ripped for the results he's provided. Plus he's a grown man I'm sure he can take it, and the money that he is essentially robbing from the school is comforting I'm sure.

He can take it, I am sure. Doesn't make it right for relatives of a player to call in a radio show ripping him. Nothing wrong with respectful criticism based on performances, done in the right manner. How is he robbing the school? That is nonsense. He was offered a contract and took it, he works hard and just doesn't get it done enough like we think he should. He does everything his job entails. Like any employer, UT can sever ties at anytime. That's how the world works. You going to attack his integrity now? Stay classy.
Also, stuff gets back to coaches' kids, but I am sure you have no problem with that either. I mean, money comforts them, right?

Come on. That's such a reach. He isn't a good coach, but he is far from the worst we've ever seen, and he had a really tough act to follow in less than ideal circumstances.

He deserves criticism, but comments like your's are just piling on.

Agreed. Tact is optional, I just wish more would use it.
