We should be beating the sorry Bullies by at least 20 pts. yet we are having to struggle to beat them, and they are woefully pathetic.

We've got Top 20 talent and Bottom 20 coaching. It's sad because with good coaching we could have made the Sweet 16 or better with this bunch.

I'm just excited this team didn't piss away another lead.

Dear Jordan,

Thanks for saving my job for another day.

Sincerely,
Coach Martin

I cringe at the thought of this coach returning but if this starting five could all play their best ball this team could still do some damage. Of course that would do damage to this program because Zo would be back.

That was painful to watch....I found myself almost hoping we would lose....and that is not good at all.

Need to play inspired basketball against Vandy...no energy at all today on the road but it's hard when the arena is empty

Yeah, it can't be easy to play with energy when you are on the road and playing in front of 20 people.

Mississippi State is a bad basketball team. We are not much better were lucky to hold on that second half defense was awful.

If someone complains about a win, they are a special kind of stupid.

I don't see a problem with expecting to dominate an inferior opponent...wouldn't you complain if we only beat a team like Austin Peay 45-44?
(I know APSU and MSU are not the same but I'm just using them as an example)

Me personally, I don't see top 20 talent whatsoever. Inconsistent, no bench, lazy, and coaching is inconsistent at best.

Actually, the better comparison in football is beating Kentucky on the road by a touchdown. In conference, on the road, any sport, just win. I would probably be concerned if we barely beat a a low level D1 OOC football game. But we did that against South Alabama last year and then prevented South Carolina from maybe playing for a national title. Each game is different.

We can talk and analyze all day about how good of a job the coach is doing, but at the end of the day, its the kids on the floor that have to perform and care about winning. I think most of the damage CCM has caused is the lack of mental readiness for games and the ability to deal with swings within the game. This team has a lot of talent, but zero drive, self-confidence, or fire to power through tough games and finish strong. If we got a coach that could recruit and knew the game, but more importantly could motivate the players, we would be on another level.

The best thing I can say about the Cuonzo Martin era is that despite the immense amount of body art UT players display- they've yet to hold up a Pilot station!

Just goes to show you, that you can't judge someone by their "body art" and not everyone that has tattoos are criminals smh.
