Upon further review it appears PanicVol is correct afterall.

PanicVol didn't say I will give you $500 if this team makes the tournament he said I bet you $500 this team doesn't make the NCAA. A bet implies that each party risks something.

BTO's response was I'll bet you $10K.

Neither bet was accepted.

My apologies PanicVol. I always (almost) check the facts before posting. In this case I didn't.

Where are we seeded before going into the play-in game?

If we win we wil be a 11 seed. We are not seeded now nor will we be seeded if we lose against Iowa.

Due to that I feel we have been given the opportunity to be included in the NCAA tournament. The play in game is a pre-tournament game imo.

Tennessee and Iowa are both listed as #11 seeds......

Tennessee is an 11 seed.

Also there are 4 "automatic qualifiers" playing in the first round as well. It be hard to say that teams that automatically qualified are now playing into the tourney.

No offense, but it doesn't really matter what your opinion is, the NCAA has called it the First Round and says we're in the NCAAT.

The Midwest bracket shows the 11 as Tennessee./Iowa. How can there be 2 eleven seeds in same bracket.

That is why they call this a play in game. The winner is in as the 11the loser is out with no seed. Only the field of 64 is seeded.

The NCAA does not call it a play in game.

I would argue to say that we are definitely in the tournament. It's not like we can go to the NIT if we lose Wednesday

The bracket has 4 of every seed. So you're okay with 4 11 seeds but you draw the line at 5? I think your just arguing to argue.
