‘18 CA OL Grad Transfer Dwayne Wallace

If he's serious about working hard one of the two starting guard spots will be his with how thin we are on the oline. I think it's the perfect fit. He has immediate playing time opportunity and we get help without having to over promise a kid who would transfer in 2 years.

We get those three guys and we are going to be much improved. Friend is a helluva OL coach, which we haven’t seen since Pittman. Pruitt is like Kiffin I. The fact that he wants to win now. And we have enough talent returning that is we add some in key spots we can be a good football team

Agreed closing thing there is go pittman...first of many huge mistakes by butch pittman is beast in recruiting and developing. Friend is a major upgrade and one of best in business

Tennessee might not be able to take him if Wiggins did not progress academically while he was here. I hope that is not the case.

I mentioned this in another thread but I could have sworn there was an NCAA rule that prohibits transfers from being immediately eligible if they left a place in trouble.

Anyone know if that is true?

SEC can deny a grad transfer. They stopped a kid coming to our basketball team from Florida Gulf Coast.

That's why I was thinking.of the rule

This kid was kicked off the team while that kid wasn't. Looking at it that way this could be an issue

But he has his degree...hard to see how the sec could stop a school from letting him participate if he has eligibility.

SEC rejects FGCU transfer Eric McKnight's bid to play for Tennessee | FOX Sports

Not sure if it applies here in this case and Shaq Wiggins may have ruined this one for us anyway.

This part here tells me Walllace shouldn't be eligible to play for us and I agree with it. Not a fan of Graduate transfers anyway but especially not for ones that didn't keep their nose clean

But SEC bylaws have a list of criteria for graduate transfers that includes that "the student-athlete has not been subject to official university or athletics department disciplinary action at any time during enrollment at any previous collegiate institution (excluding limited discipline applied by a sports team)."
