But Preston had been committed for almost a year. This is a different situation. Young has little invested in Tennessee.

it's not like he was highly sought after the last two years.

so while i might agree with that, i think there's something to be said for being the 1st ones to "get it" in regards to Young.

and he doesn't strike me as the type that takes that lightly.

as for the coach encouraging him to take other visits, i don't blame him. you only get to do this once, and i just don't think that encouragement has anything to do with a slight against TN, as much as it may be "hey go make sure, you only get to do this once".

now, would i rather him have taken a visit to a lesser program...yeah. not gonna lie. but you listen to what the kid has said, what the coach has said about TN, and the opportunity that lies in front of both player and program, and i just don't think there's any malice involved here.

The Tennessee commitment who Pruitt and Co. pulled out of nowhere and then became a 4-star prospect with offers and interest from tons of other schools, Young hosted Willie Taggart and some FSU staff last night and agreed to take an official visit to Tallahassee this weekend. However, the Tennessee offensive staff is set to visit with him today in an effort to at worst solidify his already strong commitment and at best shut down his recruitment and cancel the FSU visit. We’ll see – Young appears to be an outstanding talent and it would be a shame to lose him, but I ultimately think the fact that Tennessee found him first will make all the difference. That said, the Vols would certainly rather that visit not take place

Would be a major dick move for him to spurn UT.

And he doesn’t strike me as the type to do it.

HE would be smart to. This is a situation he would catch some heat for imo backing out on the team that took chance in him based on our own evaluation when no reason to go to FSU

I think it's obvious who is pushing this visit. his coach **** the bed in getting this kid exposed. He needs to take a seat.

taggart hasn't produced any WRs at 3 schools. Not sure why one would go to him now. He has running QB and RB geared offense. Helton has been pass game coordinator for explosive passing offenses and our WR coach just turned a Walkon into a baller

I encourage him to take all visits and go to school at the place that's right for him. I hope that place is Tennessee.

I would be happier if he said he was totally good with his commitment to Tennessee and stopped looking around. If he looks around, then our coaches need to be looking round. They need to know that our commits are solid, so they can finish strong.

They are. Went in house with Copeland and trying to get Antoine Green to visit.
