Even Butch Jones did better than this in 2013. He landed Dobbs.
This is a total disaster for Jeremy Pruitt.
You... literally don't know what you are talking about.
Since just stating a conclusion is considered a violation of board rules, I'll prove my point.
One, we don't know how these kids will eventually turn out. If they have talent and Pruitt is a good coach then it is likely to be much better than Jones did. This is the "ignore the ranking until they produce angle". We know how Jones' first class turned out.
North- promising career shortened by injury. A recurring them with a HC that simply had no clue how to develop players
Dobbs- drafted
Carr- bust
JRM- another great player plagued by injuries in Jones' "system"
Ryan Jenkins- never contributed
Sanders- never a significant contributor
Ferguson- Memphis
Alphonso Carter- who knows?
Corey Vereen- starter, contributor
Lemond Johnson- nope
Cameron Sutton- elite player... plagued by injuries
Jaylen Miller- nope
Wiesman- starter, contributor
Branisel- injured
Johnathan Johnson- contributor
Malik Brown- nope
Riyhad Jones- nope
Kendrick- starter contributor
Foreman- steal of the class
Josh Smith- talented... injured
Woody Quinn- wasted scholarship
D Swafford- injured
Only 11 of the 23 made a significant contribution and that's being generous with some of the guys whose careers were cut short by injury.
Two, you can look at it from "stars" signed. According to 247 the '13 class had four 4* players. Rivals said five 4* players. Six different players received 4* from one or the other. Only 3 of those ever played close to their ranking. The 18 class will have at least seven 4* according to 247 and 8 according to Rivals.
So whether you are talking contributors or rankings... you are acting like a...
guess I better not say it again.
