’14 GA ATH Elliott Berry (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Since when is their dad loaded? Eric may be loaded, but the family was not exactly living high on the hog before Eric went to the NFL.

You are correct. IIRC James lost his job and did not find one for sometime. Eric actually helped them out alot monaterily. So they are not loaded by any means

He's loaded. Eric took care of it. Money will never be an issue again.

I don't know, my wife was watching "Say Yes to the Dress" and Eric was buying his mom a wedding dress; he was pretty stingy with the money lol.

I don't doubt the family has some money now, Eric was not going to let them be bad off. But when your child, let alone 2 at the same time, have a chance to get scholarships that they earned; most take the scholarship money even if they have the means to pay for it.

Not a chance in hell the Berry twins walk on.

Why should they? They earned the schollies. There's also a certain prestige to being a scholarship player.

Yea the Berries earned those scholarships. No one just handed it to them because of their last name. And I am a fan of rewarding people who have worked hard to get what they want. This doesn't make them any less VFLs.

How sure are we that Evan and Elliott still want to play together, instead of maybe against each other on a yearly basis? See Peyton and Eli; granted they didn't play against each other, but brothers doesn't mean everything...

They need to go ahead and committ. I maybe in the "other" crowd but I'm not a fan of holding spots for them if better athletes want to come aboard.

I agree with you. As much as I want these kids in this class, it's sooner rather than later IMO or maybe not at all. As long as CBJ has made it clear we will take them now and they are choosing to wait, then it's on them if we fill up at their projected positions.

I'd almost be willing to wager that these two are silent commitments and just enjoying the recruiting/visiting experience while they can. Why not take advantage of the... goodies?

This has more to do with a certain QB coach....

I wasn't going to post this, but the Berry's got about 6 crystal ball predictions from 6/21-6/23. It may not mean much.

Imagine a July in which we got Gaulden, Barnett, the Berry's, and Bates with the opportunity if a few unexpected or unplanned commitments like Poona, Williams, Raulerson, Canteen, etc.
