Vetting the new DC:

1) Can he gameplan?
2) Can he develop players?
3) Would Evan & Elliott be excited to play for him?

Evan is playing QB/DB just like Eric.
Elliott is a LB/RB and plays DE sometimes.

Evan will be a DB in college.

Elliott - Not sure yet. My guess would be LB or maybe Safety. I'm not sure how good he is at RB. Somebody else might be able to tell you better than I can. It's not easy to be sure anyway because alot will change in 2 years.

That wasn't the problem. It's not that we haven't. They are sold on who is good right now. If they had to choose today , it would be LSU in my opinion. Some say Auburn , but I think that will change. If we get back to where we need to be our chances improve. But right now , something isn't right. Our best hope is James will talk them into it. I don't expect Eric to say anything to them at all. Also the talk of playing in Eric's shadow is stupid. That will follow them everywhere they go. When it comes down to it , they might just not want to be here. If so , Tennessee fans will not be happy , but it's not the end of the World. I still think they are waiting for us to show them something. 2012 will get their attention in a good way (I hope).

Not skeeter but I believe it's partly because of our hesitance in offering Holsey. Eric seemed to disagree with it.

dude why would EB ever be concerned with how we are running our program? the guy is a multi-millionaire and got every bit of exposure he deserved and was treated like a damn DEITY while he was here.

He made some statements that sounded like he was upset about CJ (3 tackles in 5 years) Fleming getting suspended for his last game. Something about getting suspended for dreds , which wasn't the case. Also one that sounded like it was about Art Evans. Saying "the coaches said he was the best CB , but the young guys will play. You can teach them. But can the coach , coach them up?" Then said later it wasn't about anyone. He has family playing everywhere at all levels. It sure didn't sound that way though. Alot of , "Why do I have to hold my potnas heads and tell them it's ok , you can't stop them , still got that degree tho". I don't think he understands that we played the better players over his friends , no matter how much he doesn't like it. EB is one of my most favorite Vols ever , but this stuff is not necessary. Alot of players got the same treatment when Kiffin was here and he wasn't complaining about that then. I guess they weren't his friends because he didn't speak for them. Tennessee was good to him. I'm not sure it's worth saying this stuff when he knew that Art and Fleming didn't belong on the field.

Pretty sure his boi Kiffin played several underclassmen during his stint here. IIRC EB took someones spot as soon as he faxed his loi to UT. I find it hard to believe he has issues with who is starting in our secondary.

The twins aren't coming to UT, sadly. Been said they have tons of interest in Auburn, Georgia, and LSU.
