It would be nice if Butch kept a commit in his pocket in case we lose a big game. Lose to UGA, getting the barry twins to commit would cause a serious wave of optimism. Lose to Bama, Barnett pulls the trigger. One can dream

Preston Williams committed after the UF game, so you may be on to something.

I was trying to make this argument in the summer, and people on here thought it was ridiculous. I'm glad someone else on here thinks saving commitments after bad losses is a good idea.

Which proves the point

Not really. The way I read his commitment article was he literally committed right before the uf game to the coaches. There was no "setting the stage" for the announcement or using his commitment to help offset the loss in the game.

The Berrys are Vol Family but even more importantly they are a great family. No doubt they will be treated well and have a good time for a few hours.

horrible news...EB will take care of his family though....pocket change to a guy like him

Dumb statement ..... imho

One from someone who obviously has never lost everything in a fire..... it is not the things that you can rebuild that hurt....it is the things that can never be replaced ie/ children s awards, photos etc

It's so sad to see bad things happen to such great people. But the funny thing is they're such good people and positive people they wouldn't want people to be sad for them just goes to show their character. We all know they shouldn't have an issue getting a new house. But they didn't just lose a house they lost a HOME. That's where all of the boys were raised, all the memories. And several important things that can't be replaced. Also wanna say thanks to their neighbor who broke in to save there dog smokey who is a blue tick hound. He must be a vols fan. Anyway just want everyone to pray for them. And even more reason for those going to game to make it special. Please people don't boo, don't leave early. This is a very important game even if we lose. But make the environment crazy exciting.

I will never forget when my uncle moved to town and him and my aunt lived in our basement for about a month while waiting to close on a house.

One night dad, my uncle, and I sat around for hours going through dad's old yearsbooks as my uncles were lost in the fire.

Money is one thing, but the experience I witnessed that night impacted just how much a fire or something similar can destroy in memories.

u guys know my position on the berry boys.

just hope to hell they enjoyed a hell of a game and kept their minds off of negative ****.
