thanks for clarifying I just don't think there was any waving motion on either kickoff play so not sure why it was rule a valid or invalid signal

Agreed. It’s obviously not a fair catch signal and it’s clearly not in the spirit of the rule to look for a way to call a fair catch 50 yards from where the ball lands just because you can. It’s ridiculous to even consider.
