Tennessee soccer's Reese Mattern was called up to the U.S. U-19 Women's National Team for training camp, U.S. Soccer announced Thursday.

The U.S. Under-19 and Under-18 Women's National Teams will come together from Monday, March 31 - Friday, April 4 for a concurrent training camp in Fayetteville, Georgia, the future home of Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center.

Mattern was one of 24 players called up by U-19 WNT coach Carrie Kveton. The U-19 WNT camp roster features 21 college players and three National Women's Soccer League professionals.

Mattern is coming off an impressive freshman season for the Lady Vols in which she started in all 20 matches, tallying seven points (two goals, three assists) and 16 shots on goal while registering 1,231 minutes on the pitch.

Following her maiden season with the Big Orange, the Charlottesville, Virginia, native was tabbed a 2024 SEC All-Freshman Team selection. Additionally, the forward picked up SEC Freshman of the Week honors in just the second week of the 2024 season after scoring a game-winner over ETSU for her first collegiate goal.

Liberia Women’s national team head coach Selam Kebede has revealed a 28-player squad for the upcoming WAFU A Women’s tournament, set to take place in Mauritania in May 2025.

The team will begin training on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the Samuel Kayon Doe Sports Complex in preparation for the competition. Maya Neal and Mimi Janice Eiden, both based in the USA, are among the players invited to join the team.
