If we win this game we at least go to a BCS game. We were a top 5, if not top 3 team in the country that season. I know the final result, but we were very, very good. Obviously, I'm discounting Ainge's ankle injury.

Don't worry it was some bad too conservative play calling IMO! There's always 2007!

Now if we had da Butch starting in 2000 we would probably have 4 or 5 national titles in the bag.

We had too much talent to lose this game. Some bad too conservative play calling IMO.

Can one really say that here/in this case considering that our biggest score came on a trick play to a HB? (Coker?)

The big issue seemed to be that, between the 1st string RB (Foster) and the 2nd string RB (Hardesty) UT couldn't remotely run the ball that game...then after that they 3rd string freshman took over as starter until he got injured in the Alabama game

I've always wondered how that season turns out minus that call (cause I know nothing's for sure but I think if that pick 6 stands we win) and Ainge doesn't get hurt. Could've been special.

Wasn't just Ainge getting hurt (though his might have been more important)

I was while Ainge was hurt (well right before he got hurt...like a game or 2) UT also lost its then top/starting RB (Coker) and its 2nd string RB (Foster) for, I believe it was a 4-6 week period.
