1st off there really isn't a way to load the box against us unless we go away from wide splits. The most you're gonna see in the box is 7 and that's if we bring the TE in tight. Even with that we just ran all over the best run defense in the SEC. Our run game is serious business. I know everyone is doom and gloom about the passing game but TBH there was probably somewhere close to 200 passing yards we missed out on with drops and none DPI calls. Nimrod should have had a huge game he got robbed of a TD and another deep ball. Keyton drops a big TD and should have drawn DPI on 2 more deep balls.

Jaylen Wright is the truth.

I think TAMU has a better defense than Bama. We will see, but all the blame can't be placed on Joe. The receivers (especially Keyton) dropped some things you just have to pass and there were a few times that the arm was clearly held and the refs just didn't call anything. Joe Also had a better game than Max Johnson. It was just 2 solid defenses making life miserable for QBs.
Good point. Joe threw a couple dimes downfield that may have been caught if no PI

The problem is we are now beginning to face the meat of the schedule. Our Offense, including QB , play is not improving. In fact their play is getting worse. Most of this creepers around the QB. Lack of effort, settling for running out of bounds instead of making an effort to get that extra yard or so, getting penalties for plAy lazy in their blocking efforts, dropping more throWin on target, etc. It is still A game of attitude and the attitude of the Offense is not up to par. Thank God for the attitude and play of the defense and special teams.
The attitude of the offense is fine. The ability to catch Joe Milton balls is not. If there were an attitude problem on offense the line wouldn't have been getting the push they got against "the best defensive line in the SEC"

This may have been mentioned, but haven't seen it. Our 1st win under Heupel after trailing at HT. I'm sure you guys saw it, under Josh we were 0-9 when trailing at HT and 22-0 when leading. Finally got that 1st Dub when trailing. If we play this sloppy next week with all those penalties and being one dimensional, we get killed. We all know Saban is going to load the box next week and make Milton beat them. And he's yet to prove he can, he actually gets worse instead of better every week.
Very true and a great thing but should also point out that of the 9 games, this was the closest margin. I think it was 3 one other time, but for instance we trailed UF by 19 at the half.

I thought Nimrod was better than expected. He looks and blocks similarly to Bru. Keaton has the ability to make plays and gets wide open but can’t finish. He could have been an all-conference player this year but has not performed. I would love to see Dee get a screen. Squirrel didn’t get enough touches.
Gets better each game. Talent, metrics and hunger to be our top receiver imo…like he was this past game.

All of these complaints about the offense regressing… are you accounting for AM having one of the best defenses in the country. And despite a bad day in the air we absolutely shredding their #1 rush defense. Just humiliated them.

We left points on the field yesterday. That happens sometimes. Good teams find a way to win and we did that.

Next week we need to clean up the mistakes but otherwise I feel very good about our chances to win @ Bama for the first time in 20 years.

Half way through the season and Joe is getting worse. He’s not recognizing the plays fast enough, he not getting the play called fast enough, and he still taking delay of game penalty’s because he not getting the play fast enough from the sideline and getting the team lined up. He is also hanging into the ball too long and taking unnecessary sacks when he could throw it away if he was seeing the play fast enough. I feel like at this point if we not gonna make change at QB, we may be better off slowing it down and huddling up every play to make sure every one is on the same page. We are having to rely on the rushing game and our defense to win now, and last thing we need to do is have short drives and out our defense at a disadvantage. Huddle up and chew time off the clock while running the ball.

It’s not just the receivers dropping the balls, it’s also play recognition and game management. Like last night we have 3rd and 8 and he runs out of bounds 1 yard shy when he has a DB half his size after him. We don’t get that one yard and end up getting stopped which turned into 7 points. Then we roll him out on 4th down and he waits till he’s trapped on the sideline with no where to go to throw the ball out of bounds on 4th down. His refusal to run the ball is not helping this offense. When he does decide to pull it on a read option he gains yards. Hooker wasn’t scared to pull it and run. If we needed 1 yard everyone knew Hooker was getting that 1 yard and not running out of bounds.
Yeah, we went from the hurry up offense last year to having to call time outs because of the clock is about to expire. Makes me wonder if it's because you can't replicate game like situations during practice. I agree that it may be better to just huddle up and get the play right, use up the clock rather than the quick 3 and out and giving the ball back to opponents. When ever the play is changed on the sidelines , and JM and the offense is looking over to the coaches, you know it's about to be a busted play.

When a player run out of bounds 1 yard from a first down on third down, there is an attitude problem. When an offensive lineman grabs defensive players instead of blocking them, there is an attitude problem. I will agree that there is not an attitude problem with our running backs. The rest of the offense needs to change their attitudes.

Joe has a good attitude. Not great on the situational awareness. Offensive lines hold alll the time. Most of the time they don't get caught except this year where it seems the only time a hold gets called against us is when It would have been aggravated assault on the streets.

His attitude is shown by action, not by talk. He talks a good game but seems to fail doing what it takes to get it done. He taps his chest to tell everyone it was his fault, but continues to repeat the same mistakes. Look at his 6 years of college football and see the same patterns repeating themselves.

The Oline did get goods pushes because they know the running backs will play with the right attitude.

Maybe not everyone can run Heupel system like Hooker, but surely we have someone on the team that can complete more than 50% passes and throw more than 100yds for a game .
For whatever reason, they're sticking with Milton. I've learned to simply accept things as they are when you have no control of a situation. Having said that, Milton can do certain things and we do have guys like Williams and Sampson who are dynamic in space. If Heupel is the offensive genius everyone seems to think he is, I would expect a wrinkle or three for those two guys especially if the WR's continue being so pedestrian. Milton has the ability to run. We have some really good RBs and an improving defense. We've also got special teams that aren't hurting us. We can stay in most games if Heupel can manage to convince Milton to be more active running the ball. When he does that, it opens up so much more of our running game so we might not need Milton to throw for 300 yards a game to win. I've always considered this to be a transition year. Thought we'd be 4-2 with losses to UF and aTm. So, I'm really pleasantly surprised by where things stand. Might not be pretty sometimes, but any win for this roster is a good one.

Gotta say that I'd rather roll with him(or Webb for that matter) than Keyton or Thornton right now.

We are very close to being a really great football team. All we need is average to slightly above average QB play and were there.

Home game vs road game if you ask me. If we play Bama in Knoxville this year I think UT wins. On the road and it will be much harder. We went from having an amazing QB and recievers to having an average to below average QB and recievers. Thems the breaks I guess.

Receiver group needs a talking to
THEY NEED A QB!! How all of a sudden overnight did they just start to suck?
Talking football with you people is utterly useless.

Without Jaylen Wright this is a 3-3 team right now.

Joe Milton and his low IQ football are holding this team back.

Texas A&M is a BADLY coached team.
USC jr has no talent. We won those games because Heupel is a good coach who can see when need to go in a certain direction.

ONE dude is the problem.

Yeah, Miltons fault there dropping passes left and right. I'm not a fan of our QB play, but Peyton Manning would be similar to the same stats with all the drops this year
