#1 Florida at Tennessee Doubleheader Thread - 12PM

First thing we would need to know is if UF used a charter flight to get here, if so, then the curfew rules do not apply. Same for chartered bus, but I doubt they rode up here on a bus.

During the game the announcers said they flew on a charter ans they had pushed their departure time back

I don’t know what the curfew rule is. That’s why I’m asking.

It's been a while since I looked it up, but I believe it's something like you can't start an inning after a specific time on Sundays...I want to say like 3:45...so the fact that we are starting a new game at 4:25 means that the visitors are not using a standard commercial flight.

The rule is in place to ensure the athletes aren't getting home at some ungodly hour and then having to go to class early the next day.

As I said, if UF travels via chartered transportation, then the rule does not apply, because they are in charge of when their flight/bus leaves.

I think that is roughly the deal, but admit it's been a long time since I tried to look it up.

Sum that game up...2 out fly ball for the win NOPE, bases loaded "seasoned" senior at the plate, base hit for the win NOPE. Its simple, we take bad angles and drift to fly balls and this timid please walk me approach is brutal. Pitching was not the issue.

An old post on an LSU board says the game can't start after 4 on sunday...of course the SEC can waive the curfew too, apparently...

When you virtually no dangerous hitters and no real big time power, you pretty much have to take the money ball approach.

We look very timid at the plate.

Great analysis. i'll add, pitching is not the issue as long as Crochet, Stallings, Linginfelter, or Neely is on the mound. Get past that and you can't compete in the SEC.

Vols still need power hitters and more power arms.
