#1 Notre Dame @ USC

Since they didn't get it anyways, now it's a bad timeout. Might need it down the line.

Well at least it won't be an all-SEC title game, right? That's literally the only positive I can find in Notre Dame making a title game.

Makes me wonder about only having 19 against USC's D. They might only score like 3 if they play Bama.

What I'm hoping is that with over a month to prepare they'd be able to produce something resembling a decent offense and challenge Bama on the ground. They'd have to play a near-perfect game to win.

Been the other way around in recent years though. Oregon/Oklahoma score 60 points a game all season and with time to prepare, Auburn/Florida hold them to 19/14. Every game is different so we'll see but you're right, it will take a perfect game for ND to beat Bama if that's who they play.

Clinging to a tiny bit of life by holding them to a FG.

A comeback is unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility.

I know someone mentioned Notre Dame being overrated and the only victory I found this season to be remotely impressive was Oklahoma..beating up on Navy, Wake Forest, and Michigan State doesn't mean you should be in the National Title game I'm sorry.
