There are many coaches out there that can do a much better job than Holly Warlick. I respect both Maria Cornelius and Debby Jennings, but I doubt they have any power to influence any coaching decisions especially if boosters and alumni get involve. The University of Tennessee is well known for women's basketball and there has to be some boosters and alumni willing to voice their concerns because they see a sinking program. I have no idea why Brenda Frese absolute hate Tennessee. I heard she continued to recruit Candace Parker after she enrolled at UT. If offered the job, I think Jeff Walz would seriously think about it. Even after a terrible season, Tennessee is still #2 in attendance nationally. Tennessee has the resources, facilities and fan base for any strong coach to be successful.

I think Maria's ability to influence is stronger than you realize.

Who will she influence? I'm not saying Tennessee has to hire Jeff Walz, but a new HC is needed desperately. People can advocate for Holly all they want, but she's not producing good results.

Hart won't go after Walz. He wants a bargain for women's coach.

Money won't matter if the right people (boosters) move in. UT is just like any major university. Money talks and the people with it usually get what they want. People should stop saying Hart won't do this or that because of money. Money is not a problem for some people.

Regarding Peck and her comments about MeMe, Peck was a spectator at the Carson Newman game. I sat a few seats from her. She was watching the game and MeMe played well. Granted, it was an exhibition game, but I also thought MeMe would have a good season. Has hardly gotten off the bench. I think Holly should have played her more but.....?

He's got to build a title IX settlement account for all these rape culture/discrimination lawsuits. Can't really afford top dollar for a sport that isn't a profit maker consistently. He sure won't be hiring a man. Just won't be acceptable.

As for Walz, he's making noise. He's in a good spot. Why would he want to jump into a situation like UT? Expectations are high, no end of gender complaints swirling around the university and he's the wrong sex to boot.

Really, what is there about UT that would lead a male coach who is winning and recruiting well in Louisville to consider making a move to Knoxville? The history? Pats success? He might end up in Knoxville, but I'll be floored if he makes such a move. Kinda like Misssouri. Who wants to step into that kind of situation.....coaches or recruits?

There are some posters who are very close to the AAU circuits and what reason do they have to make anything up, especially if they are a fan? I don't know about this poster, but I was told by someone who is close to the AAU circuits that a current All-American guard went elsewhere because she saw how this staff utilize Simmons. Reaching or not, elite recruits are not coming here with Holly as the HC. AAU coaches have a major influence on where some of these recruits go and right now Tennessee is not getting painted in a positive light in the eyes of recruits. My concern is what can Holly sell to these recruits?

You are correct (Bold Portion of your post)and in some cases, especially on the men's side, too much influence when that same AAU coach is also hooked up with certain shoe (swoosh) companies. I'm not sure if it is as prevalent in WBB but with the money these shoe (swoosh) companies are throwing around it may become more prevalent.
