1 Ohio State Buckeyes @ Virginia Tech Hokies ESPN 8:00 PM ET

Wow Ohio State is gonna be really tough to beat this year! Mostly because their schedule is full of bad high school JV teams.

It was last year as well. However what happened when they got into the playoffs and faced two of the best teams in the country?

You always need DE's

My goodness. That's not what this thread is about. Carl Lawson was a DE from out of state. Bell and Ramsey were in-state DB's, and our team needs a safety and a shutdown corner much more than it needs a DE. This went much further than I expected.

Like a year ago? Dobbs would play special teams here.

Dude gtfo of here talking crap to us on our own board. Like wtf does UT have to do with you or Ohio State? You guys won it all last year and here you are acting like you've never been there. Your team is now killing VT and can sit back and do nothing until Minnie or Mich St. Just go away man, you are acting like a classless POS, and you aren't doing a good job representing your school, your fan base, or your football team. Just stop man.

They won. And we know this because they didn't have to play anyone good the first 13 games to get there in the first place. It's a lot easier to win two games against good competition than it is to do it week in and week out with all the attrition.

It's like it is 1998 all over again. Is Wonderwall popular again? Breakfast at Tiffanys?

He represents them to a T. I read where numerous Texas fans said the 05 game in Columbus was the worst away game they had experienced; and they won.

One of the commentators is right. The Big 10 is going from an 8 conference game schedule to a 9 conference game schedule starting next year (2016).

So that should get them at least 3 cross-division games a year.

like we had a choice

Seriously. He is such an obvious troll. I can understand a Gator or Dawg trolling here, but this guy's team from a totally different conference won it all last year and he's on a message board trolling a team that is totally irrelevant to him or his conference.

Then every once in awhile he throws out these empty comments feigning support for this site or our program. LOL An OSU grad that has nothing better to do in his life than troll a Tennessee message board. Can we get this low life out of here so he can go find a real freaking hobby?

Records of FBS regular season and conference championship opponents:

Alabama: 88-66 (57.4%)
Ohio State: 93-73 (56.0%)
FSU: 84-69 (54.9%)
Oregon: 85-69 (55.2%)

Doesn't seem like they played easier competition than anyone else besides Bama, who played several more top 25 teams. And they didn't have very many close calls either.

Your post is factual and I appreciate that, but just look at their schedule this year and those opponents week one outcomes:

09.07 @ Virginia Tech
09.12 vs Hawaii - Beat Colorado 28-20
09.19 vs Northern Illinois - Beat UNLV 38-30
09.26 vs Western Michigan - Lost to Michigan State 24-37
10.03 @ Indiana - Beat Southern Illinois 48-47
10.10 vs Maryland - Beat Richmond 50-21
10.17 vs Penn State - Lost to Temple 10-27
10.24 @ Rutgers - Beat Norfolk State 63-13
11.07 vs Minnesota - Lost to TCU 17-23
11.14 @ Illinois - Beat Kent State 52-3
11.21 vs Michigan State - Beat Western Michigan 37-24
11.28 @ Michigan - Lost to Utah 17-24

I just don't see how you could possibly argue this is anything other than a very weak schedule. I have no doubt OSU will be in the playoffs again this year.
