Yea I'd imagine playing maybe 2 ranked teams all year would be easier than Tennessee playing ranked teams every week.

Correct me if I'm wrong, it's unlikely we'll see Western Carolina, Kentucky, North Texas and Vandy ranked this year.

They've had a rough last few years, and it's looking like they're trending downward (not to mention they gave him an extension at the beginning of last season to quell rumors that he might be fired).

Point is Tennessee plays a much harder schedule every year which consists of a lot of ranked teams. I'm not saying Ohio State isn't good but they've caught a break with a pretty easy schedule every year.

In 2012 they were in the Sugar Bowl v.s Meat chicken and lost by 3. Granted, the past 3 seasons have not been kind to the hokies but they've managed to remain 7-6 or better.

Priori to the past 3 years, VA Tech has won 10 or more games since 2003 (with that year ending 8-5)...and a significant portion of the 90's being a good decade for them.

I just don't see them forcing Beamer out. The man has put VA Tech on the map and has been there since 1987.

I agree with you that we do for the most part, depending on the year and our opponents. In 2015, our schedule is once again a difficult one. At this point in the season, UT is looking at playing 5 ranked teams, possibly 6 if Florida gets a bump before 9/26.

They did catch some breaks during the regular season but they took care of business when it mattered, especially when the playoffs kicked off.

However, the B10 conference has improved to an extent. Just like with any conference, they'll always have their perinial cellar dwellers.

Kickoff. Go hokies. Seems not one of pregame talking heads on EU is giving VA Tech a chance.

Umm. Who was that wearing that leopard printed dress shaking Beamer's hand? It was definitely a man. Lol
