The article below looks at the numbers. It compares our 2 SEC home games: 7 live ball penalties on TN for 90 yards. Opponents had 12 live ball penalties for 118 yards.Curious if you happened to count how many live action penalties we had in our last three home games. Not a direct comparison but it may speak to whether there is a home-team bias in officiating. We had 5 (UTSA), 7 (USC), and 12 (A&M) penalties, but I don’t know how many were live action. I assume it is > 1 in that span.
Ref's could call holding on every single running play or passing ????? Its on them to see and choose which one or just how important it is to the play. Even in the NFL, That's the blocking style and training. Just my view. !!!!UT should be making a big deal about the fact that Florida had 1 live ball penalty called against them vs UT, Alabama had 0 and KY had zero. That is an impossibility.
Espn hates tenn.So went back and looked at all games this year.
Virginia 0 live fouls
Austin Peay 2 live fouls - Chop blocks
Florida 1 live foul - Offensive Holding
UTSA 1 live foul - Offensive Holding
South Carolina 2 live fouls - Offensive Holding
Texas A&M 6 live fouls - 1 Roughing the passer, 1 Illegal block, 1 Intentional grounding, 1 Offensive holding, and 2 Defensive pass interference. Of course we had 12 penalties to their 11.
Alabama 0 live fouls
Kentucky 0 live fouls
