This is pure speculation, but it would be funny if they keep going after thiskid knowing he was a Florida lock and knowing that they don't really need him just so that Meyer will sweat. Or even better to distract from their recruitment of someone Meyer doesn't suspect. That might be a little too 007 for reality, but it would be awesome.....
