Because the stuff they were doing that drive (which didn't include the Wildcat) was gashing our defense.

If it aint broke don't fix it.

Sweet. So I'm assuming since we ran the ball well against UCLA on that drive in the fourth that calling a bunch of runs inside the 10 will surely lead to a TD.

Kiffin is the last guy that needs to grow a pair - it takes a pair to go this long and not bench your QB and try to stick it out.

I'm not against running the Wildcat once, maybe even twice, but when you try it three times and none of them work (after you were doing so well with the plays you were calling earlier in the drive) it certainly makes you look bad, and wasn't the right call IMO.

Didn't they make the comment during the game that the wildcat has been their red zone offense the whole season? Seemed to have been working up until last night.

Still does not make sense. Tate was gashing the defense on every play and they just change it up? Thats bad coaching. If the Wildcat was working against us I could see it but they were easily gaining yards running the option and our DL was just gas'd hard the second half yet they went to the slow developing plays and it cost them TDs.

I am not trying to knock the defense, they were just not ready for that offense at all. They even said it took them time to adjust to the speed of Auburn and by the time they did they had been on the field way too long and just worn out. Depth is going to be a huge problem the longer the season goes.

michael dyer, the nation's no. 1 running back prospect, continues to lean heavily toward auburn.
It is likely dyer, from little rock christian high school, will announce his decision before the end of the month, and it will come as a significant surprise if he doesn't choose the tigers.

The tigers' loss to arkansas last saturday had no impact on dyer's stance.

Dyer needs to take a hard look at whats happening to Auburn. The more tape thats available to the rest of the SEC the easier its getting for them to shut them down.

Good thought. Auburn is completely outclassed by LSU.

TN finally has found an offense and is clearly better coached than any of the teams we are playing. As I said in another thread, with Crompton making the changes he made before the Georgia game, we would beat Auburn and UCLA if we played them Saturday

+100! We would be sitting pretty right now if he played as well as he has here lately... I hope dyer starts to realize that were where he needs to be.

you don't know for sure that Poole will transfer, and thats still 2 really good sophomores and a RS freshman to be behind. i just dont see it.

i hope we dont get a back in this class because that would set up 2011, which has some phenominal backs. two from that class and we would be golden.
