This is such a cool site. Glad I have found it. Been looking for the recruiting rumors and information. That being said, I agree with you all. I am tired of USC getting all the freakin top ones. Seems like everybody gets crazy for a letter from USC. Not sayin they deserve the recognition but am jealous as hellllll.

Demetrius Wright, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound four-star defensive back from Corona Senior High School, Calif., has scheduled official visits to Washington on Sept. 5 when they play LSU and Tennessee on Sept. 12 when the Vols take on UCLA.

“Tennessee is a great program,” he said. “They’re recruiting all the best players and are serious about getting back on top. I like how the team is rebuilding and they should have a great defense. They are trying to build around great defensive players.”

He says USC is still his leader. I think we have a good shot though...

"Things are pretty much the same at the top," said Wright. "Tennessee, Washington, Arizona, USC . . . I haven't talked with Oklahoma in a while and I'm not really looking at Florida anymore.

"Right now, I have visits to Tennessee and Washington set up," said Wright. "I have Tennessee for Dec. 19 and my official to Washington will be for the LSU game. I'm working on setting up my other visits. I'll be back at SC for another unofficial next week."

This guy along with Dietrich Riley would be my wish list for DBs. I didn't think we had much of a shot at Wright though. Good to hear. I guess he moved the visit date from the UCLA game. By the way Vadar, Hampton is a very nice area. I graduated from the HHS quite a few moons back. GO VOLS:td:

Has he really moved the visit date to Dec. 19? Is anything going on during that time except preparing for a New Years Bowl:) or is that the week for the SEC championship?

“It’s tied up with Washington and SC,” said Wright.

This weekend Lane Kiffin and his staff will have an opportunity to bring the Vols into the mix. We asked Wright what he’s looking to get out of his visit to Tennessee?

“I’m looking for a good football game atmosphere, they have a nice stadium, so I’m going to check that out, I’ll check out the campus and everything about Tennessee,” said Wright.

Rather have Riley

Beggars can't be choosers. In this case, this kid is talented so I wouldn't call it a loss getting him over Riley. No one ever said Tennessee can't get both. Why knock the kid for no reason? You may be cheer for him next year....

How am I knocking the kid, he's a great player I just favor Riley a little more. If we get both then good for us, i'll even happier. I doubt we take both, but then again I didn't see us getting Miller AND Willis.

I know you're not really knocking him but some of these recruits read this stuff. I'd probably feel a little bad if I wanted to go to a school and one of their fans was saying they don't want me. I know that wasn't really what you're saying but I think you get what I mean. These kids are only 17 so I'm sure it can be hard to hear anything that could be taken even remotely negative.

Anyways, I think Tennessee will take both if both want to come here. Tennessee doesn't have any DB's committed in this class unless Meline moves to corner or Cobbs moves to safety.

DEMETRIUS IF YOU'RE READING THIS I WANT YOU TO COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO.

Meline will come in as a DB, we've got one more WR up our sleeve.

Wright and Riley don't play the same position...

They both play Safety IIRC, Vader. I know Riley also plays some RB, and I'm sure Wright plays some other positions also, but both project as safeties IMO and are listed there for that matter. (per rivals)

Well, I was looking at Scout and they have him as a CB. I see now that Rivals has him as a Safety. I usually go by Scout, just my preference...

He probably can play CB. Defense plays a lot of zone anyways so it's not like he has to be the best in man to man coverage.
