This isn't last year. There won't be too many prospects, if any, that just come on our radar with just a few months to go.
seems like ahmad dixon jumped on our radar right? or latwan anderson? or the juwaun james decommit? or kelcy quarles now considering us? lemonier and smith now suddenly have us in the top 2? Already all this shiz has came out of left field and i expect more :hi:
cha they might have been on our radar but it came out of left field to the public that they were so interested in us. And i saw in the calvin smith thread that we werent one of his top schools cuz he thought he was being recruited as an O lineman but then once we told him we are recruiting him as a DT then we jumped in to the top 2 that kinda came out of left field. And now corey nelson. Could you honestly say bout a few weeks ago that he would be visiting us? no... My point is that shiz always happens in recruiting and i expect it to keep happening. It's our staff and it's recruiting
This is jmo, but this sounds kinda ridiculous and BTVs track record is getting worse and worse. The only thing I've seen him right on was when he pulled Shakim Phillips info out of left field. Here's some of the things he's said in recent weeks:
- Uko is a Vol lock
- UT has no shot with Luc, we didn't blow him away on his visit
- UT will not offer Matt Simms (Hubbs and LWS both disagree)
- Scroggins will be visiting for the Memphis game
- on Thursday, he posted that Dyer was committing to UT Friday
Take this info with a HUGE grain of salt. If he is right on this, I will believe every word he says from now on. Heck, if we don't offer Simms I will think more highly of him. I'm just very skeptical right now though...
At this point in his recruitment, Uko is beginning to finalize which schools he will consider before making a commitment in January.
"The pressure is a little much," admitted Uko. "It's cool though - I'm just taking it all in stride. I think I'm pretty solid with my top four being UCLA, USC, Cal and Oregon. I probably won't take visits to Oklahoma or Tennessee."
His last official visit will be to USC Nov. 27, when the Trojans host cross-town rival UCLA.

"Yeah, I think I'm done with visits," said Uko. "This trip was a lot of fun. I liked hanging out with the coaching staff, and I got along with the other recruits real well.
"SC has to be No. 1, UCLA was No. 2 and Cal was No. 3," said Uko. "Oregon would be last, but that was an unofficial. Just hanging out at SC after the game and getting to know the players meant a lot. That stood out to me."
