Ty went from taking finals on wednesday to throwing at a pre-bowl practice at UT. Yes he was nervouse. He also hurt his shoulder in the final game and this was the first time he threw a ball. He has already gained 5 pounds since his arrival. The quarterback that played behind ty also got a DI AA scolly to UC Davis. Ty is here to compete for the starting spot but so is every QB on the roster. CLK will play the best player for the team. Im am excited to see how he will do now that he can focus on one sport instead of three.

Awesome info. Thank you for sharing.

Give this guy a break and let him prove it on the field. Remember when Manning was at UT he was not the fastest guy on the field..........but he sure could throw the ball. Before you say anything no he did not win a NC........but you know there has to be 10 other guys playing on the field. With the right case he might be the next big star at Tennessee..........

It's tough for freshmen Qb's to come in and have an impact early. I don't put anything past this staff though. With the turnaround Crompton had, considering the headcase he was, I say since Bray enrolled early this staff can have him ready to go if they really think he has the potential to start from day 1.

Kid has NOT graduated HS yet...Give it a rest!

You guys would argue about anything.....

This practice time is not about seeing IF he can play, it's about getting used to college life!

Worry about how UT will stop Va Tech's run game or how UT basketball just got drilled by a weak USC team. TB will be fine.

There are threads for those topics. This is the right place to 'worry' about Tyler Bray.

A) Who was arguing?
B) The practice time is about getting a future player into practice and letting them learn schemes to get a head start.

Auburn fans are now reporting that Tyler Bray is likely going to switch his commitment to them. However, they said he will still attend school at UT, and just drive out to Auburn for practice and go with the team to their games. Looks like they picked up another great player right out from under us.

Good read on Bray

The first signs of something — and there was no way of knowing then — came 16 years ago.
That's when Tyler Bray was 2.
"He didn't play with toys," says his mother, Lori Bray. "It was all about a ball, any ball — basketball, football, baseball, golf ball. You name it, he played with it." Cartoons? No.
"SportsCenter," she says. "Turn on the TV and he knew exactly what channel SportsCenter was on. He was still in a diaper."
