As bad as I hate to admit it, he and Hutson Mason are two guys that could really rise or stay the same this season. Both had good junior stats and both have a chance to have good senior campaigns. I'm not sure if it will translate to more offers or attention, but we shall see.

Grayson actually had good Sophomore and Junior stats and is about to break some all time WA records. But hey just my opinion that he is good enough for SEC. I never said he was as good as the top tier QBs in class. And this is a weak class. I think the kid is someone who will make the team better all around. And yes if we give him shot I believe he will find field in some way. He has ability to play other positions he is that good of an athlete and very smart.

How do you know so much about this kid, Jewy? You stalking him? :)

It's funny how two people can examine the exact same evidence and come to two completely different conclusions. I think this is a WAC guy. Not SEC caliber by any means at this point.

In a recent article, he has said he is soft....

For the time being Bray describes himself as 'committed, but open to looking at other schools that offer me.'

There is one where he says that, "My commitment to SDSU is a soft one."

Personally i really hope we land him. I like his potential as a QB. In his film he is more mobile then you would think. I like to think of him as a poor mans Blake Bell in a way. Bray and Newton would be very nice to me.

Personally, im cool with what have at this point and and im ready to sit and wait for some hot shots in the next class. im tired of fretting over it i guess. none of these kids are anything we need to make a run.

Its more of having one in the class to help recruit other offensive players. IMO Newton is the only one left who could have an impact next year. Heaps is about the only one who will of HS QBs.

Bray could end up being better than Bell for all we know. He has the size and tools. McCoy and Bradford were three stars with tons of upside when they committed to their schools.

yeah and another player that was only a 3 star is matt ryan and look what he done but has anyone heard anything 2day if ambles commiting helped us any on getting a qb

Another MVP......

When Tyler Bray wrapped up his whirlwind summer last weekend in the Schuman Ultimate 100 camp at the University of Oklahoma, the San Diego State commit from Kingsburg (Calif.) brought home the quarterback MVP award to go with a tired arm.

Bray and his father, Jeff, say he remains a San Diego State commit, but they will weigh their options by visiting Tennessee and possibly other schools that might offer him a scholarship

Lots of other staffs don't have the talent evaluators and recruiters this staff does also. That's why I trust them in their evaluations of three star QBs.

I am really starting to like the vibe around Bray. He seems to be generating some positive "buzz" among recruiting gurus (as indicated by his new fourth star) and it could certainly be said that Kiffin and his staff have elevated their interest level. Obviously it bodes well that he seems to have softened his commitment to SDSU.

From what I've seen and heard, Bray has a big arm and throws a nice ball. I liked the spirals that I saw, the quick touch pass he made several times, and the ease with which he got the ball downfield; several of his deep passes impressed me with their quick, fluid power. Obviously he has great height, and I certainly don't think he's as "rail thin" as many people say. In my opinion the kid is only ten or fifteen pounds from being ready to go physically. This is almost negligible considering the physical leap most teenage males make from HS to college, let alone in a D1 football weight program.

Without question, he has subpar athletic ability. It is key to remember that guys like Leinart, Palmer, Booty, etc., were more or less on the same level at this stage. I do not see his 40 time as being a huge downside. I really hope we make a strong push.

Nope...The guy they claim is the big fish will be a transfer from another school....Bray doesn't fit that discription

I believe this was just the opinion of the person that supposedly was told by Kiffin of the big fish. Unless something new has come up.

He is "rail thin" if he is truely 6'6" @190 lbs. that's thin. I'm 5'11" @193 lbs. and I'm no where near being fat. He still has his senior year to go so he will put on some more weight I believe. Here is his USC camp video back on 6/26 so you can see for yourself.
