'10 CA S Dietrich Riley

He will be a commit soon. I feels it in my bones. If he comes along we will just be stacked at DB. We are 10 deep as is with great talent. I love the fact that we are developing some substantial depth at each position. Just like USC, we are rotating out several guys to keep our team fresh. 4 deep at RB, too. I heard that USC is like 6 deep at RB

Watching the FSU vs DA "U", sloppy, track meet, bad defense, good athletes but....terrible tackling, no disipline, tons of stupid penalties, missed extra point, just crummy football imho.

He seems to love all the attention. I don't see him announcing until at least after taking all five official visits, and probably not until NSD. I'm not holding my breath on him either. I hope we get him, but personally, I think it's way too early to tell where he is leaning.

“I don’t have any favorites, but a school I know I’d like to confirm a visit to is Tennessee,” Riley told SN. “I’d like to see them when they play Georgia (Oct. 10), because I have a Thursday night game that week and I could check out campus life and get the experience. I want to see people camping out two days before the game, things like that. I think that’d be pretty sick to see, a great experience.”

I think we end up with him. This is from an old article (August 1) but I think that visit is still on. SN100 DB still looking east - Brian McLaughlin - The Recruitnik - Sporting News

im liking the Twitter background :)

too soon to tell where this kid is going. im crossing my fingers, and think we have as good a chance as anyone, but i wouldnt be too surprised if he isnt a Vol.

What is taking him so long to committ? he is pretty much a UT lock. So why wait? And nobody say the word "silent" Because that word is the most overused irreleveant word in this forum. :)

WTF? Somebody please tell me what is taking him so long? And what is going on with him about an official? HELP!

Simmer down his official isn't until the Georgia game. Or at least that's when it is supposed to be.

If he is truely interested in becoming a VOL then he will commit soon if he feels that they are running out of room. I wouldn't call any one a lock at this point though even though he does talk about the VOL quite often in his interviews. I would love for this kid to be a VOL but I would not want him to rush his decision before he ready. His official isn't until October so mayby if he is feeling it when he visits he may commit then.

I really feel confident in saying this kid will be a Vol. He loves Tennessee, he has let it be known. I think we will save a spot for him, after his visit i think he will commit.

“He could play anywhere,” Bonds says. “He’s played just about everywhere on our offense.”

“He’s a natural leader,” junior outside linebacker/running back Michael Melnick says. “He always brings fire to the team. He has a huge impact on the team. We always give 110% because he always goes 120%. How he plays is how we play.”

Riley, who’s seen as an “athlete” by most recruiting sites due to his versatility, is viewed by many insiders as a prospect at safety, but after his breakout junior season carrying the ball, Riley’s hoping to play running back in college, Bonds says. And, as for what college he’ll decide on, a decision on that could wait until January.

Great Read on DR

This isn't the only article that I've read that he mentions wanting to play running back. He will play secondary here or nothing at all IMO.

imo, Riley is in the same spot that Cobbs was in. It's about time for him to sh!t or get off the pot. If he doesn't do something soon, his spot is going to be given to another OL. We are deep and young enough at safety that we don't have to wait on him. He needs to do something if he wants to be a Vol...

I think we are saving one spot for someone in the secondary..whether it be Riley, Riggs, Wright, or Shaw. I think the staff would be happy with any of those. It may be the first one to pull the trigger to get that spot.

Give him a chance to visit at least. Dang, LV. We have room for a safety.

Yea I know, I was thinking after his visit. He might even be a silent already. But I keep looking, and I don't see how we have room for more than 1 DB unless someone decommits. I would rather have a CB in this class. I love our safetys on the team now, and I'm under the impression that either Cobbs or Meline is likely to wind up at safety. I really don't wanna lose Riley, but I think if he don't do something soon, he may not have a spot...

How do you think these last 7 spots will break down Sab? I see it like this:

3 OL
1 RB
1 LB
1 DB
1 OL/DT

Do you think we lose any of the commitments we have now?
